UNDERSTANDING THE GLORY OF GOD. (transcript)

Text: Revelation 19:1, Deuteronomy 5:24, Psalm 104:1

Everything you need is found in the glory of God!
Glory is one of the many attributes of God.
God is a glorious God, He is a glorious being and a glorious Spirit.
God's glory is found in His Kingdom.

God's throne is glorious, His presence is glorious, His Words are glorious, His creation is glorious.
His mind is glorious, His power, His creativity and His greatness are all glorious.
God's glory is on everything He's created.
There is a portion and degree of God's glory on everything He's made.
Since you are created in God's image and likeness, everything you do- the work of your hands should reflect glory and excellence.

Excellence is an aspect of glory.
Human beings need the glory of God, we were not originally created without God's glory.
Man was originally created with glory and for glory.
Genesis 3:11
Glory makes you look like God.

Lights of glory, pleasures of beauty emanate  from God's presence.
When God's glory comes down upon a life, it manifests as God's blessings in different areas of that life.
When God's glory comes into a situation or circumstance it manifests as the miraculous.
John 2:11
The glory of God is connected to many positive things because these positive things are found in the glory of God. Things like honor, success, miracles, favor, greatness, light, power, blessings and progress are linked to God's glory.
You cannot describe God without talking about is glory.
Ezekiel 1:26-28

Glory represents wealth and that which is beyond human accomplishment.
The wealth of Jacob and King Solomon are described as glory.
Genesis 3:11, Matthew 6:29
The glory is from the Lord of heaven and earth, it emanates  from Him naturally.
The Shekinah glory of God is a Jewish word coined by rabbis which means visitation of the presence of Jehovah on earth.
When God shows up He comes with His Shekinah glory.

Glory is a word associated with kingship and royalty.
Glory is associated with a king coming with wealth, power and a troop of servants/soldiers who do his or her bidding.
When the Lord Jesus Christ comes back He is coming with glory.
Mark 13:26

The people of Israel were a people chosen to manifest the glory of God on the earth, as long as they did God's desire the glory stayed, but when they consistently did wrong the glory left.
The ark of God is representative of divine presence.
Every time God's presence was with Israel the glory was present.
1 Samuel 4:22

The good news is that the 'ark' is consistently present with believers today, and lives within us now.
The ark today is Jesus and His Spirit in the believer.
Colossians 1:27

The Word glory appears in 371 verses of the Bible, 148 of the 371 verses is the translation of a Greek word kabod.
The word kabod means abundant, copious, or heavy.
The word kabod also refers to honor.
So when we talk about the glory of God we are talking about the full weight of His blessings, the full weight of His honor, the full weight of His power and strength, the full weight of His light, the full weight of His virtues, the full weight of His wisdom, counsel and understanding.

Glory is a beautiful thing.
The fullness of God's attributes and resources are found in God's glory. That's why it's out of God's glory that our needs are met.
Philippians 4:19
We receive of God's glory, and when you have the glory of God upon you, there will be a lifting of your head.
Psalm 3:3

The glory of God is also found in His presence.
Psalm 8:1
If you were to go to heaven you will have no choice but to fall on your knees and worship God, you will honor Him because you will see glory all around.
When God puts His glory on you, you will be honored on the earth.
Glory and honor are connected.

Everything God created has it's own glory.
Psalm 16:9
Your glory is that thing God has given you that brings you honor.
It is what God has given you that makes you stand out in an area of life, it's what gives you a shine and an advantage.
Your glory is that thing about you that people admire and respect you for, it comes about by what you are able to do.
There are abilities and gifts in you.
The Lord Jesus betters our life, our abilities, our gifts. He increases your glory.
Christ in you, He is the hope of glory.
The heavens declare the glory of God because they reveal the talent, ability and gift of God.
God is the King of glory because all glory emanates from Him and He is the one from whom true glory emanates.
 Psalm 24:7

May the Shekinah glory of God be found in you!

Your Father Hears

Matthew 6:5,6 Prayer should be directed to the Father. Jesus showed this when He taught His disciples the Lord's prayer. It should be a great comfort to you to know that the creator and God of all hears you when you pray. This should encourage you to pray and keep praying. In our day to day relationships with people our communication will reduce towards those who don't pay attention when we're talking to them. The good thing about God is that He is never distracted. Know you have His attention when you pray . He can be communicated with. He hears, He created the ears. Psalm 94:9 Jesus encouraged prayer. Matthew 26:40 Jesus taught prayer. Luke 11:1,2 If Jesus prayed, you will need to pray. Why Should You Pray? *Pray because prayer brings God's intervention. Isaiah 38:5,6 *Pray because that's how you are authorized to communicate with God. 1 Thessalonians 15:16-18 *Pray because it is a major way of birthing God's will on earth. 1 Kings 18

The Importance Of The Anointing

Acts 10:38 The anointing is the presence of the Holy Spirit with a person. The anointing speaks, the anointing directs, and the anointing teaches people what they need to know and do. 1 John 2:27 You need the anointing. You can grow in the anointing. It is also possible to depart from the anointing. The anointing won't depart from you but you can depart from the anointing. You should remain in Him. It is worth it investing time to understand the your anointing, growing in your anointing and obeying the anointing. As you get to know a person better by spending time with them, so it is with the anointing in your life. With the anointing, you can't go wrong. The anointing strategically positions you in God's kingdom and in life. Jesus was full of the Holy Spirit. Colossians 2:9 Jesus had the anointing when He was here on earth. Jesus is our example of what our life can be when we have the anointing. Hebrews 12:2 Jesus knew His purpose. Luke 2:49 Jesus

Navigating A New Year

Isaiah  42:16 Our text passage above shows us God is the one who shows us the path to take and leads us in new directions. Your path matters to God. The way you you choose to take is important to God. Your steps are seen by God and ordered by God. Psalm 37:23 The year ahead of you matters to God too. Luke 13:8-9 Each year God has given you the grace to witness, experience, and journey through is another opportunity to be fruitful for God. God wants you to make the most of the year ahead of you to His glory. Human beings do not always know the way and path to go, we can be limited in wisdom. History shows we do not always make the best choices. The year ahead of us will require knowing the way to go, having the wisdom to make the best decisions and choices. Deuteronomy 30:19 To successfully navigate the year we need to stay in God.. To navigate is to find your way through, it is following the right path to a specific destination. Car drivers either buy a GPS/Navigation device system or
