For this reason, God has extended that privilege to humanity. Through Jesus Christ, you can be as close to God as you wish to be. With God given words, the priests blessed the people, and the people became blessed! Those words carried the blessing and the presence of God with them. The words 'stuck' to the people as the priests declared them over the people, and the nation of Israel prospered.
