Oil For The Latter Times

Matthew 25:1-13 In the text passage we see Jesus sharing a short but very meaningful story which is known as the parable of the 10 virgins. 5 of the virgins were wise, while the other 5 were foolish, it's a great story with several symbolisms and it can be interpreted while drawing many lessons from it. Key words like lamp, oil, night time, bridegroom, and virgins are used in this parable.  The bridegroom is Jesus Christ, while the virgins represent the church, the saints, those who believe they are part of God's kingdom. A major lesson we see from this parable is the importance of oil. It shows us the importance of oil for our spiritual lives, and very importantly for making it when the bridegroom (Jesus Christ) comes. Oil according to this story/parable represents the Holy Ghost. The lamps according to the story/parable is our spiritual life. As lamps need oil to power them and make them shine forth light, our spiritual lives need the Holy Spirit to shine forth. The Holy Spi

Overcoming The Difficulties Of The Latter Times

2 Timothy 3:1-5 It is people in the world that make the latter times perilous. We have perilous times because we have perilous people. People become perilous because of the kind of spirits that have gone out into the world. 1 John 4:1 The spirits of this age are making people very difficult and hardened. It will take more than having money to overcome the challenges in the world today, and the challenges to come upon the world. There are challenges money cannot solve. There are challenges money cannot fix. Money does not cure many illnesses and diseases in the world today. At best money can get you medical treatment and medication that suppresses the ailment. Money does not cure, it only gives you options. There's so much emphasis on money in our generation, unfortunately many have allowed money to replace God in their hearts. Matthew 6:24 The spirit with an individual will determine how well that individual prevails and triumphs in these times. God's Spirit and presence is a

As The Days Of Noah

Matthew 24:37 There are things we can learn about the days/times Noah lived in that will be beneficial insight for these present times we are living in. The days of Noah were interesting and also difficult times for those who lived in that time period. Jesus likened the days of Noah to what things will be like on the earth when He comes back. As a result of this statement made by Jesus, we have been given an insight into the times and season of His return, and like the children of Issachar we will do well to understand it. 1 Chronicles 12:32 The days of Noah can be compared to these times in the following ways: There was a lot of faithlessness in Noah's time as there is today Luke 18:8 In Noah's day, no one except Noah and his family believed God will send rain and flood the earth. Jesus asked if He will find faith on the earth when He returns.  He asked this question because it will be like Noah's day on the earth before He returns, many will not operate in faith anymore.

Grace For Difficult Times

2 Corinthians 12:9 Difficult times are times we tend to feel weakest. Difficult times can rob us of our zest and zeal for life. Difficult times can rob us of our happiness and deplete our joy which eventually affects our strength. The danger of difficult times is that people can fall away and grace can run out on them during the period. Difficult seasons can take the shine/glow away from our lives if we are not tapping into the grace of God which is available to us. Difficult times and seasons can also negatively affect our spiritual life. The Bible informs about a difficult time on the earth when many who knew the Lord will depart from the faith. That season is called the great falling away. It is a time/season on earth before the Lord's return. I believe we have come into that time. 2 Thessalonians 2:1-3 Difficulty is a major reason people choose to fall away from God. If we give up in difficult times/times of adversity, it is because our strength is small. Prover
