As The Days Of Noah

Matthew 24:37

There are things we can learn about the days/times Noah lived in that will be beneficial insight for these present times we are living in.
The days of Noah were interesting and also difficult times for those who lived in that time period.
Jesus likened the days of Noah to what things will be like on the earth when He comes back.
As a result of this statement made by Jesus, we have been given an insight into the times and season of His return, and like the children of Issachar we will do well to understand it.
1 Chronicles 12:32

The days of Noah can be compared to these times in the following ways:

There was a lot of faithlessness in Noah's time as there is today
Luke 18:8
In Noah's day, no one except Noah and his family believed God will send rain and flood the earth.
Jesus asked if He will find faith on the earth when He returns.
He asked this question because it will be like Noah's day on the earth before He returns, many will not operate in faith anymore.
No one had faith it would rain in Noah's day outside of Noah who believed in God and had a genuine relationship with God.
Faith is one of the most taught and discussed topics in Christendom today but unfortunately it seems to be the least understood or applied.

There was a huge attack on the marital union and God's order in Noah's day as there is today
Angels are not created to marry.
Matthew 22:30
In Noah's time there were fallen angels (evil spirits) who married women on earth that they found attractive.
Their intention was to corrupt the marital union and reverse God's order and arrangement.
Homosexuality, lesbianism, open marriages, divorce and separation are some of the many attempts of the enemy to defile and reverse God's arrangement  and order in marriage and among humanity today.
There are evil spirits behind these vices and the laws backing them.

There was a lot of corruption in Noah's day as there is today
Genesis 6:6
The corruption was so bad God regretted creating man because everything being done on earth at the time was evil before God. Even the very imagination of men's hearts  was evil.
Today the evil imagination of man is being seen in terrorism, witchcraft, sexual sin, occultism and all other forms of evil.
Humanity has been corrupted.
In our day the fear of God is lacking and those willing to do God's will seem fewer.

Things were so bad in Noah's day that God's direct intervention was required as it is needed today
Genesis 6:11-13
The earth was wiped out by a flood in Noah's day by God. The flood was God's answer to the evil and corruption going on in the earth at the time. At that time the earth needed God's direct intervention.
In the same way the earth needs God's intervention today.
The second coming of Christ will be the climax of God's intervention in human affairs.

In Noah's day the ark floated on the waters which covered the earth, in the same manner God's Spirit is moving over the earth in these latter days
Acts 2:17
As the ark of Noah floated upon the waters, the Spirit of God will move upon the 'waters' of humanity.
As Noah and his family entered the ark, we are in times when we have to come into the kingdom of God. As Noah and his family's safety was in the ark, our safety is in the kingdom of God today.
Genesis 7:1

Mockers, critics and detractors of the faith will increase just like they were present in Noah's day
1 Corinthians 2:14
Noah was mocked and criticized because he was building an ark at a time it didn't rain or look like it will rain.
Following God and His instructions may make us look foolish to carnal minds around us but God will justify His own as Noah and his family were vindicated.

Evil spirits and fallen angels will intensify their works on the earth
1 John 4:1-3
As fallen angels came to the earth and got involved in the order and creation of God in Noah's day all sorts of spirits have been released into the earth in our time to deceive, steal, kill, and destroy.

As Noah enjoyed grace and was protected and saved, there will be a remnant who will enjoy favor and protection at this time
Genesis 6:8
Psalm 5:12
As God's favor and grace preserved Noah at a difficult time in human history there are those God will single out for mercy by His grace in our time.

The majority will not always be right, the minority that is right will be vindicated
Matthew 22:14
Matthew 7:14
Noah and his family must have been the minority numerically among all the many around him who didn't understand or see the wisdom in what he was building.
It didn't change the fact that he was doing the right thing.
God vindicated him and his family while it was too late for the majority who was wrong.

As rain fell suddenly and flooded the earth in Noah's day, the coming of Jesus will be sudden in our day
Luke 17:26
Jesus likened his coming back to the days of Noah because the rain fell suddenly on a day and at an hour no one expected, this is similar to how Jesus will come back suddenly on a day and at an hour no one knows.

Your Father Hears

Matthew 6:5,6 Prayer should be directed to the Father. Jesus showed this when He taught His disciples the Lord's prayer. It should be a great comfort to you to know that the creator and God of all hears you when you pray. This should encourage you to pray and keep praying. In our day to day relationships with people our communication will reduce towards those who don't pay attention when we're talking to them. The good thing about God is that He is never distracted. Know you have His attention when you pray . He can be communicated with. He hears, He created the ears. Psalm 94:9 Jesus encouraged prayer. Matthew 26:40 Jesus taught prayer. Luke 11:1,2 If Jesus prayed, you will need to pray. Why Should You Pray? *Pray because prayer brings God's intervention. Isaiah 38:5,6 *Pray because that's how you are authorized to communicate with God. 1 Thessalonians 15:16-18 *Pray because it is a major way of birthing God's will on earth. 1 Kings 18

The Importance Of The Anointing

Acts 10:38 The anointing is the presence of the Holy Spirit with a person. The anointing speaks, the anointing directs, and the anointing teaches people what they need to know and do. 1 John 2:27 You need the anointing. You can grow in the anointing. It is also possible to depart from the anointing. The anointing won't depart from you but you can depart from the anointing. You should remain in Him. It is worth it investing time to understand the your anointing, growing in your anointing and obeying the anointing. As you get to know a person better by spending time with them, so it is with the anointing in your life. With the anointing, you can't go wrong. The anointing strategically positions you in God's kingdom and in life. Jesus was full of the Holy Spirit. Colossians 2:9 Jesus had the anointing when He was here on earth. Jesus is our example of what our life can be when we have the anointing. Hebrews 12:2 Jesus knew His purpose. Luke 2:49 Jesus

Navigating A New Year

Isaiah  42:16 Our text passage above shows us God is the one who shows us the path to take and leads us in new directions. Your path matters to God. The way you you choose to take is important to God. Your steps are seen by God and ordered by God. Psalm 37:23 The year ahead of you matters to God too. Luke 13:8-9 Each year God has given you the grace to witness, experience, and journey through is another opportunity to be fruitful for God. God wants you to make the most of the year ahead of you to His glory. Human beings do not always know the way and path to go, we can be limited in wisdom. History shows we do not always make the best choices. The year ahead of us will require knowing the way to go, having the wisdom to make the best decisions and choices. Deuteronomy 30:19 To successfully navigate the year we need to stay in God.. To navigate is to find your way through, it is following the right path to a specific destination. Car drivers either buy a GPS/Navigation device system or
