THE SIGNIFICANCE OF GOD'S WORD. (transcript)

The word significance refers to the quality of being important. The qualities that make a thing important.
So we will be looking at what makes the Word of God important, we will look into the importance of God's Word to you as an individual and to the entire church assembly.
What makes God's Wordimportant is the benefits loaded in God'sWord. God's Word has many benefitsto you and I. So it's important to know what God's Word is.

What is God's Word?
God's Word is God's wisdom to us. Proverbs 2:6
God's Word is a person. John 1:2,3
The Word of God is Spirit! John 6:63
The Bible without the Spirit of God is not God's Word. 2 Corinthians 3:6
Jesus is God's Word and we need Jesus to see Jesus in the Bible, we need the Holy Spirit to reveal Jesus to us from the Bible. The Holy Spirit is the one who makes the Word of God-Jesus, come alive to us from  the pages of the Bible.
God's Word is as good as God. John 1:1
God's Word is Spirit and Spirits manifest in forms.
God's Word comes to us in two major forms, in the spoken form which is called 'RHEMA' and in the written form called 'LOGOS'. Rhema and Logos are greek words.

The benefits of God's Word:
The Word of God is the giver of eternal life- John 1:4 Eternal life is the God kind of life, it's an extension of the quality of life found in God to man. Eternal life is from the greek word Zoe. Zoe means life, it also means uniquely different.
It brings a closeness to God- John 1:1,2
The Word of God makes people wise- Psalms 119:98,99
The Word of God brings creativity and creation- Genesis 1:1-3
God's Word brings good health- Romans 8:11, Proverbs 4:22
The Word of God sanctifies- John 17:17, 1 Timothy 4:5
The Word of God brings light and clarity in darkness- Psalm 119:105, Proverbs 4:18
The Word of God corrects- 2 Timothy 3:16
The Word of God conforms us to Christ- 1 Corinthians 2:16, Romans 12:2
The Word of God brings results- Isaiah 55:11
The Word of God brings prosperity- Genesis 26:1-4, 12-13
The Word of God brings dominion and power- Joshua 1:4,5
The Word of God in us gives the Holy Spirit & angels the right to work in our lives- Hebrews 1:14, Psalm 103:20, 1John 5:8
God's Word is raw material for the Holy Spirit to work in our lives- 1 John 3:26,27

Out Of The Ashes

Isaiah 61:3 Ashes are not seen as useful substances. Ashes are waste that's thrown away. Ashes are what is left after a substance is burnt out. Your life may seem like ashes right now but something good and beautiful can come out of it when it's given to God. You may feel like an ash yourself. You may be feeling burnt out from unpleasant experiences of the past, the previous week, the last Month , or the the last year and life's battles may have left you burnt out.
