Your Armor Of Light!

Ephesians 6:10-18 From our text passage we are encouraged to be strong in the Lord and in the power of His might. We are told to put on the whole armor of God and we are told why we should do so. The reason we need to put on the whole armor of God is because it helps us stand against the schemes of the devil. If you don't have the whole armor of God on you don't stand a chance in spiritual warfare. Spiritual warfare is raging on the earth today and you need to be aware of it. The schemes of the devil, his devices are a big part of life and spiritual warfare. You can stand toe to toe with the arch and ancient enemy of mankind and not fall by God's grace if you put on the whole armor of God. If you do not stand in the day of battle it means you fell or you gave up. The Bible makes it clear that if we give up in the day of adversity or battle it is because our strength is small. People give up when they don't have enough strength. Proverbs 24:10 The schemes or devices of...

The Stone, The Kingdom

Matthew 21: 42-44 Our text passage is part of a statement Jesus made at a time He was here in human form which gives us some insights into the kingdom of God. Jesus and His kingdom are one. Just as a man and his wife are one in God's sight so is Jesus and His kingdom. You cannot separate them. Wherever Jesus shows up, the kingdom of God is there and wherever Jesus is the kingdom is there. Both Jesus and His kingdom are likened to stones! Living stones! Stones have many uses- for building/construction, artwork, as a weapon, as a hunting tool with catapults etc Jesus is useful so is His kingdom. Those of us who become part of God's kingdom are useful too, for we are stones too, living stones who are part of God's building, God's kingdom! 1 Peter 2:5 A stone is a part of a rock or mountain, a small part. To reject the kingdom of God is to reject Jesus, to reject Jesus is to reject the kingdom of God. The new Jerusalem, which is the physical manifestation of God's kin...

When The Last Become First

Matthew 20:15,16 Our text passage shows us that the first can become last and the last can become first. The standards of God's kingdom is different to our world systems. God gives people hope and a change of story in His kingdom, He does so in His goodness. In the kingdom of God, those who are last by the world's standards can become first. It's based on God's goodness and mercy to individuals, a personal contract or covenant that has nothing to do with who was in the lead or who had been ahead. Luke 16:19-31 God's goodness is His loving kindness manifested in a life. May God be good to you, and may you experience the goodness of God. God is a God who is good to the underdog. God is a God who gives a chance to the underdog- those who have been despised, rejected, and hopeless. When God begins to favor such people it will not seem fair. Matthew 20:1-16 Those who came in last, according to the parable got got an equal wage with those who started first, that is favo...

Our Present Help

Psalm 46:1 God is our present help in time of need. That's what our text passage informs us. It is a beautiful thing. God was not just your helper in the past or your helper for the future. He is your helper in your present moment. God is your present help in trouble because He has what it takes to help us. Here are 7 reasons why God can help you - i. He is our refuge. ii. He is our strength. Psalm 46:1 iii. He is not far from us. Acts 17:27 iv. He has the power to help us. v. He has the kingdom to help us. vi. He has the glory to help us. Matthew 6:13 vii. He has a heart full of love for us. John 16:27 God is more than able to help us. He is God and He has the capacity and capability to help us. God has the heart to help us. In His love He helped us through Jesus Christ and He continues to help us through Jesus! In God's help there is deliverance, freedom, and restoration. An example of a man helped by God in scriptures is the mad man of Gadara. Mark 5:1-20 Jesus met this man...

Your Wings, Your Freedom

Revelation 12:14 Wings help us get to where we want to get to. Wings give us ability. Wings give us flight, speed, and movement. Wings bring progress. Wings also bring protection. The parent eagle uses her wings to protect and also train her eaglets. The mother hen uses her wings to protect her chicks. That is how God protects us under His wings. Psalm 91:4 God desires to give 'wings' to His children- spiritual wings that adds value to our lives and make us more effective. These wings are a kingdom benefit, exclusively for those in His kingdom. They are spiritual wings that enable us to get to where God has prepared for us. Wings represent freedom. Wings help animals like birds escape predators Spiritual wings make a way of escape for us , a way of escape from spiritual predators and their human agents. Wings help us enjoy freedom, just like free birds in the air. In Revelation 12 we read the story of a glorious woman who is a sign. Another sign appears- a red dragon (the ene...

The Path Of The Chosen

John 14:6 God has a path, a way, a route and a pattern for each of our lives to follow. While all human beings have similarities and things in common, each human being is unique. Our story, our journey, and our route in life will be different from one person to the other. Your life's blueprint is different from other peoples life blueprint. God has a unique plan and path for you, the same way He had for Jesus Christ. The role, the purpose, and path of Jesus in life and history is unique. He is the Messiah, He was the Messiah to come of the old testament prophecies. He is the manifestation of those old testament prophecies. John 1:14 Jesus Christ is the focus of the Bible and the scriptures show us the plan, purpose, way and pattern of God for Jesus's life. Like Jesus, God has a book for your life. Hebrews 10:7 There is a prophecy of your life. 1 Timothy 1:18 There is a way and path your life must go. Proverbs 14:12 That way and path is in Jesus Christ for He is the Way. To fin...

The Resurrection, The Supernatural

John 11:25,26 From our text passage we read Jesus describing Himself as the resurrection and the life, this suggests to me He not only has resurrection power, He identifies as the resurrection! The power(s) of Jesus Christ are available to us, his family. The family of God is a supernatural family. We are a royal, spiritual, kingdom family. 1 Peter 2:9 We are the Zion of God on the earth, an assembly of God's saints. Available to us in the family and assembly of God is resurrection power. Romans 8:11 Resurrection power from the Lord is the highest form of power. It is supernatural power found only with Jesus Christ and available to His people- His church, His saints, His body, found within His bride. No voodoo priest, demon or fallen angel can lay claim to resurrection power. It is only in Jesus we find resurrection power. Resurrection power, if at work in a life brings lifting . Matthew 28:5-7 Jesus wasn't found where He was buried. Something had happened, He came back to li...

Our Lawgiver

Isaiah 33:22 Our text passage reveals the Lord our God is our lawgiver. God is our Lawgiver, our Judge, our King. In previous teachings we've considered the roles of God as our King and as our Judge. In this teaching message we are looking into the position of God as our lawgiver. God is our lawgiver means it's God we take our laws from. God as our lawgiver means it's God who makes the laws we live by. Laws are the required expectations for people or rules they have to follow that's backed up by an authority. God as our lawgiver means His authority backs up the standard and rules He puts in place for us. The beauty of God being our lawgiver is that His laws are for our benefit, His laws give life! Psalm 119:93 God's laws are fair for God hates double standards and unjust weights. Proverbs 20:23 The laws of God sets us free. The laws of the Spirit is God's law. This law is in Christ Jesus and it produces freedom by setting us free from the law of sin and death. ...

Our King

Isaiah 33:22 Our text passage shows us three positions the Lord occupies in our lives- Lawgiver, Judge and King. We have considered previously the role of the Lord as our Judge. We are focusing on the Lord as our King for today's teaching. The Lord is our King. He is the King of His body- the Church. This means He is our authority and power and the source of it. Kings have authority. Kings have power, their words are powerful for they become decrees in the land. The word of the Lord brings power into our lives, situation, circumstance and destiny. Ecclesiastes 8:4 In His position as King He is able to save us. He saves us from sin, sickness, shame and Satan. He saves us from ourselves, the gates of hell, evils projected on us and an eternity of doom. Kings are leaders, kings are dignitaries, and kings are heads. The Lord Jesus is our leader, the highest dignitary and the head of His body. He deserves our praise, our worship, our time and the best of each of us. From our King Jesus...

Our Great Judge

Isaiah 33:22 Our text passage identifies God in three positions as our King, our Judge and our Lawgiver. We will be focusing on God being our Judge in this message. The Lord is the Judge of all creation. Genesis 18:25 Judges are needed , respected and valued in every society. As long as they do not act beneath their office they are revered as dignitaries whose wisdom, insight, training and ruling is to be upheld and followed. Judges can determine the future and penalty of wrong doers. The favor and mercy of a judge is a beautiful thing while the anger and judgement of a judge is a scary thing. Ezekiel 7:8 The scripture shows us people God raised up as judges at various times over His people- Moses, Gideon, Deborah, Samson, Jephthah, Barak, Eli, Abimelech, Joshua, Tola etc. It is important judges are incorruptible. Proverbs 17:23 One of the offices Jesus Christ occupies is that of the Judge. He is the Judge over His people. This is good news because He is an incorruptible Judge, a ...

The Battles Beyond Us (2)

Revelation 12:1-17 Our text passage depicts warfare that involves the woman, the child and the dragon (Satan). There are many lessons that can be gleaned from this passage of scripture but it is first and foremost a chapter on warfare and it applies to many of us than we understand. There are battles that are beyond us as individuals, as families, as humanity. Battles that are beyond us are battles that have a head start on us mentally, they can be battles that spring up on us unexpectedly to ambush us, they can be generational battles but more importantly they are battles that don't have their roots in flesh and blood. Ephesians 6:12 The purpose of these battles likes all battles and warfare is to take us out. Revelation 12:15,16 The woman in our text passage is described as a glorious woman, a sign. Glorious people, glorious destinies attract intense warfare. This glorious woman attracted the dragon (Satan). The glory of this woman and the child she was about to birth attracted...

The Battles Beyond Us

Revelation 12:17 Spiritual warfare is an aspect of life. It can be inherited and for some people it starts in the womb. Spiritual warfare can also choose a person/people. Winning in life and through eternity is not by human power. There are battles that are beyond us. There are battles we cannot win if God doesn't help us. There are battles we cannot tackle if not for divine intervention. There are battles that have a head start on our lives because the enemy and enemies we are dealing with are beyond mere human beings, they are ancient, generational spirits. These are forces that have been around, walked this earth and have transverse the heavens long before we were born, long before we were aware of ourselves, or the fact fact there's a battle on our hands. Jabeez was an individual who found himself living unfortunately, until God intervened; giving him a change of story after he prayed. Jabeez's warfare started from birth, perhaps in the womb. 1 Chronicles 4:9,10 How do...

The Power At Work In You

Ephesians 3:20 Our text scripture passage shows us there is a power at work in the sons of God, the believer. May we know this power and may we use it. May this power come alive in us and rise up within us. The power within us is God given, it's from God and it is meant to be used. God would have us do exploits and accomplish wonderful things to His glory. When I meditate on our text passage big things come to mind, increase comes to mind, marvelous things come to mind as what God wants to do through us. Marvelous things are achievements or happenings that are beyond what men can think or imagine, they are wonderful happenings. Our passage says God will work with the power at work within us to do exceedingly (this refers to largeness and big sizes) God will do abundantly (this is multiplication or increase) He will do above all we ask (more than we ask for in prayer) He will also do more than we think (more than we can imagine , meditate, or visualize) God will do all these things...

Grace And The Second Coming Of Christ

Genesis 6:1-8 Our text passage shows us Noah found grace with God in his day. That is why Noah and his family were not victims of the flood of his day which wiped out and destroyed a lot. As Noah needed grace in his time, we need grace for today. We need grace to be exempted from the evils and negativity of our time. It is by grace that we make it when Jesus comes back for His people, His church. This occurrence known as the second coming of Jesus Christ leads to the rapturing of the church/God's people. 1 Thessalonians 4:16,17 Be reminded, Jesus is coming back! The second coming of Christ Jesus is an event that will change the course of this world in a way and on a scale that hasn't been seen before. It will change the course of events on this earth. After the departure of the church/people of God from the earth, there will be a season of three and a half years of prosperity and peace under the global leadership of the anti-Christ, this will be followed by another three and a...

Preparation By The Spirit

Matthew 3:1-3 We see from our text passage that John the Baptist prepared the way of the Lord. It was by the Spirit that John the Baptist prepared the way of the Lord. For he had the Holy Spirit from birth as the angel Gabriel had announced before his birth. Luke 1:11-15 The Holy Spirit's ministry and presence is essential for effectiveness and impact in life and eternity. The Holy Spirit can also help us in our life preparations. As we journey through life we will need to prepare for things at different stages and phases of our lives. The presence of the Holy Spirit can help us prepare in in every area of life. He helped Daniel with wisdom, He was the Spirit  known in Daniel as "the spirit of the gods" as mentioned by the Babylonians. Daniel 5:11,12 Through the Spirit of God Daniel was able to prepare to stand before king Nebuchadenezzer successfully. When Hadassah, known as Queen Esther was preparing to stand before king Xerxes (Ahazerus) of the Persian empire she wen...

Kingdom Possibilities

Matthew 6:33 Seeking God's kingdom is for our benefit and it's to God's glory. When God's ministry is fulfilled through you, you will reflect His kingdom, His power, and His glory. God wants to show off HIs kingdom through you. Isaiah 61:3 The kingdom of God is God's pride. The kingdom of God is a realm of great possibility. It is God's realm and presence, it is where things happen. All things are possible in God's kingdom. Not only should you seek to be a citizen of God's kingdom, seek to maintain your favor from God's kingdom. Seek to grow and continue to grow in the favor you have through Christ in His kingdom. Luke 2:52 If the kingdom of God rules in your favor it will manifest in your earthly experience. If the kingdom of God takes up your warfare you will manifest as a winner in your earthly battles. Matthew 21:44 Many people don't seek the kingdom of God because they don't know it's worth/value. Jesus made it clear it is the man w...

Are You Worthy?

Hebrews 11:38 Our text passage informs us about a category of people that the world was not worthy of, these are people who knew the Lord, had a relationship with the Lord, and were in covenant with God. They were men and women of faith. These are people who suffered for God. The power of faith is real and it's a wonderful thing. Faith helps us overcome in times of suffering. Faith elevates us above the world and the schemes of men and spirits. 1 John 5:4 Faith puts us on a spiritual pedestal above the operations of the world. I'm referring to faith in Jesus Christ, the God kind of faith. This faith is victory, it's triumph and it's a winning card. Faith may not exempt you from difficulty and suffering but it will ensure our victory in due time. This faith pleases God and makes us valuable and worthy. Hebrews 11:6 Not everyone recognizes this faith, not everyone values this faith or understands how it works. The enemy attacks this kind of faith. The enemy resists this...

Your Axe head Will Float

2 Kings 6:1-7 Our text passage informs of an interesting occurrence that happened during the days of the prophet Elisha. At this time the prophet Elisha was heading the school of prophets, a position he assumed after his spiritual father in ministry the Prophet Elijah has been caught up to heaven in a chariot of fire. Elisha was out with the sons of the prophets (young prophets from the prophetic school under his tutelage) to gather logs of wood so as to build a larger residence for them to stay in. While chopping down trees, one of his young prophets lost the axe head from the axe he had borrowed. Disappointment, shame, and having to explanation the unfortunate circumstance to the owner of the axe seemed to loom ahead of this son of the prophet. As our text passage reveals, all hope was not lost, the axe head dropped by the prophet in training under Elisha's tutelage floats to the surface of the Jordan river where it had dropped and sunk, that is a miracle! On a regular day, goi...

Your Camels Are Coming!

Genesis  24:9,10 Our text passage informs us Eliezer the senior servant of Abraham left for the region Abraham was from with ten camels for the purpose of getting Isaac (Abraham's heir) what was needed at the time in Isaac's life, a wife. Camels in scriptures represent what God uses to convey your needs, wants or miracles to you. Camels in the Bible represent supplies and provision. Camels in Bible times were used for business and transportation, they are still used for such purposes today in certain parts of the world. The title of this message is prophetic. Your camels are coming is a prophetic declaration and decree that God will supply all your needs and make provision for all your wants according to His will. A good wife was a need in Isaac's life when the camels came, on top of one of the camels was Rebeccah the lady who would become his wife. Through a miracle process, Isaac's need for a wife was supplied and she arrived on a camel. Genesis 24:61-64 Your own nee...
