God's Care, God's Love!

 Matthew 5:45

Our text passage shows us that God doesn't discriminate when it comes to who enjoys what He has created.

God cares.

He cares because He loves.

1 John 4:8

Showing care is the practical demonstration of love.

God loves us in practical ways.

1 John 4:16

We all enjoy nature, the weather and seasons without God asking if we have been bad or good or seeking to qualify who enjoys the things He has freely given.

God's goodness is for the whole of humanity.

God is a good God and His care for us is not limited to who is good or who is bad, God cares for all and we all enjoy what He has put in the earth- the sunlight by day, the moon light by night, water, food that grows from the ground, the earth as our home which has sustaining ability as it continues to produce for us due to laws put in her by God for humanity's benefit.

Both those who know God and those who choose not to believe in Him enjoy nature.

They can both plant seeds in the ground and get results from the earth.

A lot is often taught in the body of Christ about the power/might of God, the wrath/anger of God, the ability of God and His possibilities, the Lord being a Man of war, God not failing etc

A lot has been taught about how God is going to judge the world and how His judgement will be coming upon unbelievers , and this is true

And these are all true, they are all good topics too and we can't teach/share them enough.

 But not enough is taught about the caring nature of God because not many fully have a revelation of God's love.

Caring is a huge aspect of love.

If you love, you will care.

It is in God's nature to care for us.

If you care, your love will be practical.

We are encouraged to be like God our Father, and our heavenly Father loves us and cares for us in practical ways.

That God came in the form of man, lived among us, and went through beatings, accusations, arrest, being spat on, being misunderstood and eventually crucified, died and put in a tomb after forgiving His murderers and resurrecting to give us a new and living hope is the highest and most practical demonstration of God's love and care for us.

John 3:16

We enjoy God's creation and works daily, His power sustains the earth and creation and His word makes everything operate and function well as He has allocated everything to it's own domain.

If God cares for the birds and they are fed daily not because they sowed seeds or invested anywhere we can be confident God will care for us and provide for us.

That we enjoy God's creation and works daily is an aspect of God's care for us.

Out Of The Ashes

Isaiah 61:3 Ashes are not seen as useful substances. Ashes are waste that's thrown away. Ashes are what is left after a substance is burnt out. Your life may seem like ashes right now but something good and beautiful can come out of it when it's given to God. You may feel like an ash yourself.
