Your Guardian Angel

 Acts 12:1-15

Our text passage shows us one of the cleanest prison escape ever.

Imagine how king Herod must have felt and the guards assigned to ensure Peter remained in prison.

They must have been baffled the following morning trying to figure out the mystery.

By an angelic intervention, God mocked them.

By an angelic intervention Peter was set free.

It happened because the church prayed, there was a group of intercessors interceding for Peter.

They didn't want to lose Peter the way they had just lost James.

Peter was delivered overnight, the night before he was to be executed!

The interesting thing about Peter's deliverance is that the angel was right beside Peter.

It is the prayers of the saints/church that activated this angel.

I believe this angel had always been with Peter.

He was most likely Peter's guardian angel.

The prayers of the saints which was constant made this angel bring about a deliverance for Peter.

Even those who prayed for Peter were shocked when Peter showed up at the gate of the house where they were sharing fellowship.

It was hard to believe.

They concluded it couldn't be Peter but his guardian angel.

In those days people saw angels more and perhaps they knew guardian angels can have a resemblance to those they are assigned to.

Every human being has a guardian, a guardian angel assigned to him or her.

This angel is an aspect of God's love to you, for God loves you and God is love.

1 John 4: 8, 16

This angel has been with you from birth, perhaps from conception.

The angels of little children constantly behold the face of the Father.

Matthew 18:10

You didn't lose this angel with you just because you became an adult.

The purpose of your guardian angel is to walk with you and sometimes ahead of you to clear your path so you can fulfill your purpose.

Spiritual realities are there for us to discover and be sensitive to in the light of the scriptures.

You can develop a relationship with your angel, you can be conscious of his presence with you, and your angel can help you,

Psalm 91:11

Your angel will respond to your words.

Daniel 10:12

Salvation aligns you with the benefits of God's kingdom.

Angelic help and support are part of the benefits of God's kingdom.

Salvation grants you access to the Holy Spirit, it makes you more sensitive to the Holy Spirit, it makes you more sensitive to spiritual realities, it makes you more conscious of your guardian angel, and makes you more aware of the kingdom of God.

Your guardian angel respects the Holy Spirit within you.

Angels are citizens of God's kingdom, they are bonafide members of God's kingdom, they are officials and messengers from God's presence  and they minister to the heirs of salvation.

Romans 8:17

They can minister to you and for you.

To minister to you means they bring to you, they come to you to perform an act or service for you.

After the forty days and forty nights fast of Jesus and being tempted by the devil during the fast, angels came and ministered to Him (strengthened Him).

Matthew 4:11

To minister for you, means they do for you.

Hebrews 1:14

Be careful what you say for your guardian angel and other angels can act on your words.

I believe our guardian angel has a record of the words we speak and report them to God.

The scriptures informs that we will give an account to God for every idle word we speak.

Matthew 12:36

Be careful what you do for you have an angel who sees all you do and reports to God.

Your angels fight battles for you.

Your guardian angel has been fighting for you before you were fully conscious of who you are and he still does so.

Your guardian angel answers to God who created him not you

Your guardian angel obeys your words when in line with God's plan and will and works to get answers to your prayers across to you.

Your angel obeys your words when you speak words in line with God's word.

Psalm 103:20,21

God has given you the kingdom through Jesus Christ and angels are a part of that kingdom.

Luke 12:32

Your Father Hears

Matthew 6:5,6 Prayer should be directed to the Father. Jesus showed this when He taught His disciples the Lord's prayer. It should be a great comfort to you to know that the creator and God of all hears you when you pray. This should encourage you to pray and keep praying. In our day to day relationships with people our communication will reduce towards those who don't pay attention when we're talking to them. The good thing about God is that He is never distracted. Know you have His attention when you pray . He can be communicated with. He hears, He created the ears. Psalm 94:9 Jesus encouraged prayer. Matthew 26:40 Jesus taught prayer. Luke 11:1,2 If Jesus prayed, you will need to pray. Why Should You Pray? *Pray because prayer brings God's intervention. Isaiah 38:5,6 *Pray because that's how you are authorized to communicate with God. 1 Thessalonians 15:16-18 *Pray because it is a major way of birthing God's will on earth. 1 Kings 18...

Out Of The Ashes

Isaiah 61:3 Ashes are not seen as useful substances. Ashes are waste that's thrown away. Ashes are what is left after a substance is burnt out. Your life may seem like ashes right now but something good and beautiful can come out of it when it's given to God. You may feel like an ash yourself. You may be feeling burnt out from unpleasant experiences of the past, the previous week, the last Month , or the the last year and life's battles may have left you burnt out. Know that out of your ashes can come beauty! God is the one who gives us beauty for ashes. God can make you and your life beautiful! Don't make the ashes your permanent state. God can make your season of ashes work out into a season of glory for you. Romans 8:28 The phoenix is a mystical and fictional bird that burns out after living for about six centuries. After burning itself out it rises from it's ashes renewed, youthful and revitalized to live through another life cycle. Like the p...

God created your soul and wants your soul to function well. It is the will of God that your soul is preserved until the coming back of Jesus Christ. 1 Thessalonians 5:23 Your soul is made up of your will, your mind and your emotions. You need your will, your mind and your emotions to function properly and to be regarded as a well balanced human being. Your soul is valuable and the enemy wants it. Your soul is part of the reason you are saved and a part of God's kingdom. 2 Corinthians 4:3,4 We are spirits who have a soul and live in a body.
