Jeremiah 33 vs 7
God is a restorer.
He restores that which was stolen whether they are opportunities, years, youthfulness, virtues, health or stars.
We can be restored spiritually and physically.
Restoration should be part of your life story, it is part of God's script for you.
Zechariah 9:12
Restoration has been factored into the story of your life because God hates waste and if you are not restored your life or parts of it will be wasted.
John 6:12
Restoration is evidence of the presence of God's kingdom in a life.
Those in God's kingdom are entitled to restoration, restoration what God wants for humanity.
When Jesus visited the home of Zacchaeus the tax collector, Zacchaeus promised to restore four fold what he had taken from everyone unjustly.
The presence of Jesus in his home compelled Zacchaeus to restore those who he had taken from unjustly. Then Jesus replied "today salvation has come to this house because he (Zacchaeus) is also a son of Abraham, for the Son of man has come to seek and to save that which was lost"
Luke 19:1-10
"To seek and save that which was lost" is to restore.
So, restoration is God's plan and will for His people.
Jesus further showed restoration is part of His kingdom plan for our lives in 3 different parables.
The parable of the lost sheep, the parable of the lost coin, and the parable of the prodigal son show restoration.
Luke 15:1-32
Restoration makes us happy and joyful and we see that in each of those parables.
The dead coming back to life is part of restoration.
When Lazarus died and Jesus brought him back to life he was restored to Mary and Martha his sisters.
John 11:17-49
In the parable of the prodigal son the Father said his son was lost and is now found, died and brought back to life.
His son was restored back to him.
God is the one who restores our fortunes.
Jeremiah 33:7
God restores us to benefit us, compensate us, and to glorify Himself.
