THE KEYS OF THE KINGDOM OF HEAVEN ! (transcript)

Communion service

Text: Matthew 16:19, Revelation 1:18, Isaiah 22:22, Revelation 3:7, Revelation 9:1, Luke 11:52

The Bible is full of men who performed exploits, ordinary men who did extraordinary things by God's help and God given skill and abilities.
God is the giver of ability and skill.
God is the one who makes things happen for people by setting people up for greatness and giving them platforms to operate from.
God can help an individual, a family, an organization, a nation or a church.
As a church, I make bold to say God is ready to help us, the God who made King Uzziah great is ready to help you and I.

God has many ways He helps people.
In scripture how He helped each man is different from one person to the other.
The way God helped Abraham is different from the way God helped David, the way God helped Jacob is different from the way He helped Gideon, the way God helped Uzziah is different  from the way God helped the Apostle Paul.
What all the heroes of faith have in common is that God helped them!

May God help you!

God is still in the business of helping men, we know this because Hebrews 13:8 tells us something about God, that He is the same yesterday, today and forever.
God will help you in Jesus name!

The new testament is a revelation and an unveiling of the old testament.
The new testament is a manifestation of the old testament.
One of the revelations of the new testament is the revelation of 'keys'.
The key of David
The key of the Kingdom of heaven
The key of hell and death
The key of knowledge
The key of the bottomless pit
So the using of spiritual keys is one of the ways God helps people, this revelation is particularly more obvious in the new testament.
The revelation of keys is particularly more pronounced in the new testament because it is a revelation God wants us to understand in these times and because Jesus brought a revelation of God's Kingdom, and God's Kingdom operates with 'keys'.

As citizens of God's Kingdom  we will do well to understand these keys and know what they can do in our lives.
The keys from God's Kingdom can open any door!
Many of the exploits and wonders we read about in the old testament were the keys of God at work, but this truth is revealed more in the new testament.

What does the key of the kingdom of heaven do for you?
1) It gives you authority- Luke 10:19, Matthew 16:19- you become a spiritual policeman of God on earth with the rights to do certain things.

2) It helps you bring heaven to earth- Matthew 6:10

3) It makes you a reagent of God's purposes on earth- Jeremiah 1:7-10

4) It helps you glorify God- It unlocks heaven on earth, heaven reveals the glory of God.
Matthew 6:10, Psalm 19:1

5) It shows you are a son of God not a child (maturity)- there are certain blessings God will not put into the hands of children who are not mature.
God desires that we all grow in spiritual and emotional maturity so that we will be able to handle certain blessings He wants to give us. For your inheritance to be unlocked, you will have to grow and be able to handle your blessing.
Sons of God, are the mature ones, not mere children. They are the ones who manifest
The key of the kingdom of heaven makes you manifest.
Galatians 4:1-3, Romans 8:19

Your Father Hears

Matthew 6:5,6 Prayer should be directed to the Father. Jesus showed this when He taught His disciples the Lord's prayer. It should be a great comfort to you to know that the creator and God of all hears you when you pray. This should encourage you to pray and keep praying. In our day to day relationships with people our communication will reduce towards those who don't pay attention when we're talking to them. The good thing about God is that He is never distracted. Know you have His attention when you pray . He can be communicated with. He hears, He created the ears. Psalm 94:9 Jesus encouraged prayer. Matthew 26:40 Jesus taught prayer. Luke 11:1,2 If Jesus prayed, you will need to pray. Why Should You Pray? *Pray because prayer brings God's intervention. Isaiah 38:5,6 *Pray because that's how you are authorized to communicate with God. 1 Thessalonians 15:16-18 *Pray because it is a major way of birthing God's will on earth. 1 Kings 18...

Out Of The Ashes

Isaiah 61:3 Ashes are not seen as useful substances. Ashes are waste that's thrown away. Ashes are what is left after a substance is burnt out. Your life may seem like ashes right now but something good and beautiful can come out of it when it's given to God. You may feel like an ash yourself. You may be feeling burnt out from unpleasant experiences of the past, the previous week, the last Month , or the the last year and life's battles may have left you burnt out. Know that out of your ashes can come beauty! God is the one who gives us beauty for ashes. God can make you and your life beautiful! Don't make the ashes your permanent state. God can make your season of ashes work out into a season of glory for you. Romans 8:28 The phoenix is a mystical and fictional bird that burns out after living for about six centuries. After burning itself out it rises from it's ashes renewed, youthful and revitalized to live through another life cycle. Like the p...

Healing For Your Soul Wounds!

Malachi 4:2 Your soul is a vital part of your life. Your soul is part of who you are. Your soul needs to function well for things to go well with you. Your prosperity is linked to your soul. 3 John 2 Your soul is the decision making center of your life. God cares about the state of your soul. God created your soul and wants your soul to function well. It is the will of God that your soul is preserved until the coming back of Jesus Christ. 1 Thessalonians 5:23 Your soul is made up of your will, your mind and your emotions. You need your will, your mind and your emotions to function properly and to be regarded as a well balanced human being. Your soul is valuable and the enemy wants it. Your soul is part of the reason you are saved and a part of God's kingdom. 2 Corinthians 4:3,4 We are spirits who have a soul and live in a body. When your soul is wounded As our natural bodies can be affected, so can our souls. As we can have physical wounds and sores caused b...
