THE ANOINTING AND THE RESURRECTION (transcript)

Easter Prayer Anointing mid week Service

THE ANOINTING AND THE RESURRECTION

Text: Isaiah 10:27, Romans 8:11
Easter is a beautiful time of the year.
It's a time many people show kindness, some give Easter cards and many people buy chocolate Easter eggs. Although these acts in themselves are not bad, there is more to Easter.
More than anything else the season of Easter is a celebration of the anointing.
This is because without the anointing there will be no resurrection as we read in Romans 8:11
The anointing made the resurrection happen.
The anointing refers to the Holy Spirit. 1 Samuel 16:13
In the old testament, the oil was used to represent the Holy Spirit. 1 Samuel 10:1,6

Spirits need bodies or a vessel to dwell in to be legal on earth because the earth has been given to the sons of men. Men refers to human beings and human beings have bodies. Psalm 115:16
The resurrection is not limited to what the Holy Spirit did for the Lord Jesus.
The resurrection power and the spirit behind that power is still available today, in fact the Bible tells us this power and the Spirit who operates the power (Holy Spirit) is in believer today.
God desires to continue works of resurrection in our lives today, He desires to undo the works of darkness and satan in your life by His resurrection power.

The Holy Spirit wants to work for you and in you.
The anointing works by your permission and co-operation.
You have to give God's Spirit access into your life. Luke 11:13
The Holy Spirit is not an illegal spirit like the devil who forces himself into people's life, hijacking and manipulating their lives.
Choosing to participate in an anointing service is a way of giving God's Spirit access and a legal right into your life, just like King Saul and King David did.
For the anointing/Holy Spirit of God to work for you you must let God's Spirit lead you and work through you.

What will the anointing do for you, what should you expect
1) It will make you the head. 1 Samuel 10:1
2) It will set you free. Isaiah 10:27
3) The Holy Spirit through this anointing can manifest His 7 dimensions through you. Isaiah 11:2
4) The Holy Spirit through the anointing can teach you all things. 1 John 2:27
5) The anointing can teach or reveal God's truths to you. 1 John 2:20
6) The anointing can create excellence in you. Daniel 5:14
7) The anointing/Holy Spirit can make you creative. Genesis 1:1,2,3
8) The Holy Spirit/anointing can give you good health. Romans 8:11

Your Father Hears

Matthew 6:5,6 Prayer should be directed to the Father. Jesus showed this when He taught His disciples the Lord's prayer. It should be a great comfort to you to know that the creator and God of all hears you when you pray. This should encourage you to pray and keep praying. In our day to day relationships with people our communication will reduce towards those who don't pay attention when we're talking to them. The good thing about God is that He is never distracted. Know you have His attention when you pray . He can be communicated with. He hears, He created the ears. Psalm 94:9 Jesus encouraged prayer. Matthew 26:40 Jesus taught prayer. Luke 11:1,2 If Jesus prayed, you will need to pray. Why Should You Pray? *Pray because prayer brings God's intervention. Isaiah 38:5,6 *Pray because that's how you are authorized to communicate with God. 1 Thessalonians 15:16-18 *Pray because it is a major way of birthing God's will on earth. 1 Kings 18

The Importance Of The Anointing

Acts 10:38 The anointing is the presence of the Holy Spirit with a person. The anointing speaks, the anointing directs, and the anointing teaches people what they need to know and do. 1 John 2:27 You need the anointing. You can grow in the anointing. It is also possible to depart from the anointing. The anointing won't depart from you but you can depart from the anointing. You should remain in Him. It is worth it investing time to understand the your anointing, growing in your anointing and obeying the anointing. As you get to know a person better by spending time with them, so it is with the anointing in your life. With the anointing, you can't go wrong. The anointing strategically positions you in God's kingdom and in life. Jesus was full of the Holy Spirit. Colossians 2:9 Jesus had the anointing when He was here on earth. Jesus is our example of what our life can be when we have the anointing. Hebrews 12:2 Jesus knew His purpose. Luke 2:49 Jesus

Navigating A New Year

Isaiah  42:16 Our text passage above shows us God is the one who shows us the path to take and leads us in new directions. Your path matters to God. The way you you choose to take is important to God. Your steps are seen by God and ordered by God. Psalm 37:23 The year ahead of you matters to God too. Luke 13:8-9 Each year God has given you the grace to witness, experience, and journey through is another opportunity to be fruitful for God. God wants you to make the most of the year ahead of you to His glory. Human beings do not always know the way and path to go, we can be limited in wisdom. History shows we do not always make the best choices. The year ahead of us will require knowing the way to go, having the wisdom to make the best decisions and choices. Deuteronomy 30:19 To successfully navigate the year we need to stay in God.. To navigate is to find your way through, it is following the right path to a specific destination. Car drivers either buy a GPS/Navigation device system or
