Text: Ephesians 3:12
God responds to our confidence when we are in prayer.
Confidence is an integral part of prayer.
Confidence is a requirement when it comes to accessing God's presence through prayer.
It is God's wish that we are confident in approaching Him in the place of prayer.
Confidence is part of God's spiritual protocol.
There is a protocol and order to follow and required procedure to accessing the heavenly Father and being bold and confident is part of it.
Hebrews 10:19 tells us we have a right to boldly enter the most Holy place. Our right to boldly enter God's presence which is called the most holy place is because of what our Lord Jesus Christ has done for us.
Our saviour's blood gives us a right to the most holy place of God, our saviour's name and blood gives us an access to the heavenly Father, and our heavenly Father likes it when he is approached confidently.
Approaching God confidently is evidence of our faith in God, it's evidence of our trust in God, it's evidence of our belief in God that our prayer is answered or that our prayer will be answered.
Confidence is the basis on which the saints of God should pray.
We have a right to be confident when praying because the God we call upon is a faithful God. Deuteronomy 7:9
We should be confident when we pray because God loves us. Ephesians 2:4-4, Zephaniah 3:17
We should be confident in approaching God because God desires to hear the prayer of His children. Matthew 7:7, Matthew 18:19, Luke 11:13
When praying we can be confident because of the finished works of Christ. John 19:30, Revelation 5:12, Ephesians 1:4
We can be confident in prayer because we are connected to the right source who helps us access the heavenly Father. John 14:6, John 6:44
We confident when we pray because the God we pray to is a God who knows what He is doing.
2 Corinthians 9:8, Jeremiah 32:27
Every born again christian, anyone saved by the blood of Jesus Christ has become part of the body of Christ. 1 Corinthians 12:27, Ephesians 5:30
As the body of Christ, we are extensions of Jesus Christ and Christ will not deny Himself.
2 Timothy 2:13, John 15:5, John 20:21
God will answer our prayers and we are confident of this because we have come into the Baptism of Christ. Romans 6:3-5
We can be confident in the place of prayer, knowing that God fulfills His promises. He has made promises to answer our prayers- Romans 10:12, 1 John 5:14,15, Luke 11:13, Matthew 21:22,
John 14:13, Isaiah 65:24
We are confident and bold to approach God when we have been living sin free.
It is the responsibility of every child of God to guard against sin.
Sin not only offends God but it affects our confidence in the place of prayer and seeking God.
It's our responsibility to confess our sins to God when we go wrong. For if we have unconfessed sin in our lives it affects our relationship with God. Isaiah 59:2, Psalms 66:18
Grace is available in Christ Jesus to restore our confidence and help us overcome sin. Romans 6:14
