Kingship didn't start from the physical realm, it started from the spirit realm.
Revelation 1:6
Genesis 17:6 shows us that God is the maker of Kings!
God has a Kingdom, so that makes God a King!
The things we see here on earth are replicas or patterns of things that have been, things that exist in heaven.
Psalm 111:2, Psalm 19:1-2
The same way we have royals, dynasties and kingdoms on earth, they have always existed in heaven. Exodus 22:28, Daniel 12:1, 2 Peter 2:10, Jude 1:9

Daniel 12:1- spiritual dignitary
God is the first king.
God is a king because the concept of royalty is His idea.
God is a king because it takes a king to produce and create other kings.
God is a king because He has a kingdom and every kingdom is headed by a king.
Psalm 47:78, 1 Samuel 12:12, Psalm 45:6 and Psalm 103:19
So true kingship, true royalty, started from the Spirit. For God is a Spirit.
John 4:24
In the spirit realm we have kings, princes and dignitaries, just as we do in the physical.
A lot of people don't understand the spirit realm, in today's world things of a spiritual nature are usually laughed at or looked down upon.
The devil has set up the system of the world in such a way that there is enough distraction to occupy people in the natural to the point that they don't know there is a spirit realm that controls the physical.
And many who know there is a spiritual dimension take it for granted, or they have become too busy with the affairs of this world, which robs them of valuable time which should be spent focusing on God's Kingdom and developing their spiritual lives.
Ephesians 5:16-18
One of the reasons things of a spiritual nature is laughed at is because of the human failings of people who hold or who have held spiritual offices.
God is merciful but man is not always merciful.
The world is lying under the wickedness and cruelty of Satan 1 John 5:19, because of this the world does not spare or forgive servants of God when they fail.
Satan and the world are not merciful.
It is a challenge to every christian and everyone holding a five fold ministry office to live lives worthy of their calling.
Ephesians 4:1
Things of the spirit are mocked at, laughed at, and looked down upon because the devil doesn't want people to discover their true identity.
And your true identity is found in God's Kingdom.
God's children are royalty.
God is a King and His children are sons and daughters of the King.
This makes us princes and princesses of God, this is a great privilege.
1 Peter 2:9
God's children have a great inheritance in their name in God's Kingdom, the devil doesn't want you to know this or receive your inheritance, to blind you from your inheritance he makes spiritual things look foolish.
2 Corinthians 2:14, Matthew 6:33
The devil doesn't want human beings to appreciate Spirit things because it advances God's Kingdom when they do.
Luke 17:21, Romans 14:17
The devil doesn't want humanity to value truths of the spirit dimension because he will loose his power over people.
Romans 8:13
Have you noticed the devil doesn't tempt you in the spirit? His temptations are always in the flesh.
It's in the flesh that the devil has power over you not in the Spirit.
So as a strategy, the devil makes spiritual exercises like prayer, reading God's Word, praying in tongues and even going to church seem like a chore and waste of time.
He'll make fasting look foolish to you, he'll then point out the people who don't do all these things to you to show you how well their lives are going, and how progressive they are.
He does this to incite envy and jealousy in you, he does this to make you give up on the impact you are making spiritually.

Satan takes you away from spiritual truths because his kingdom suffers when you embrace Jesus and Jesus's Kingdom.
Colossians 1:13
Satan tries to make the Christian faith and sacrifice of Jesus look ineffective because he wants to rob you of your eternity with God.
2 Thessalonians 1:9
Human beings like excitement, entertainment and pleasure, and the devil capitalizes on this through our flesh by enticing us with the things we like but will potentially make us focus less on heavenly things.
As royal sons and daughters of God it's not everything this world offers that we have to accept, it's not everything that is pleasing to the eye or looks good that has to be ours, its not everything we have to partake of.
This was the mistake of Eve. 2 Corinthians 11:3, Luke 12:15
It's not everything Kings and Queens indulge in.
You are a King and a Queen in this world if you are in Christ Jesus.
You are a prince and princess to God.
