THE BATTLE OF THE KINGDOMS (transcript)

Texts: Deuteronomy 3:22 & 1 Timothy 2:12
God is a fighter.
When God has to fight to defend what He loves He will do so.
May God fight for you!
Gentleness is one of the fruits of the Spirit, and we should be gentle just like the lamb of God was. Jesus was the lamb of God who remained gentle unto obedience, even the obedience of the cross, but at the same time He is the lion of the tribe of Judah who fights for His people.
Spiritual warfare exists. Colosians 2:15, 2 Timothy 4:18
What we commonly call spiritual warfare is actually a battle between two kingdoms.

There are three major kingdoms the Bible identifies:
1) The Kingdom of God (1 Corinthians 4:20)
2) The Kingdom of Satan (Matthew 12:26)
3) The Kingdom of this world (Revelation 11:15)
The Kingdom of this world is the Kingdom God gave to man which Adam lost to Satan's control
(Psalm 115:16, Genesis 1:26-31)

The battle is largely between the kingdom of God and the kingdom of Satan. Satan's kingdom is a kingdom of darkness. Colossians 1:13 and 1 Peter 2:9
Unfortunately, the kingdom of this world is stuck in between the battle going on with the kingdom of Satan and the kingdom of God. Revelation 12:12
Man is caught in between in the battle between light and darkness, good and evil, God's side and Satan's side. Revelation 12:9
Man is caught in this battle because God loves man and anything God loves attracts Satan and his kingdom. Satan cannot touch God, but he can touch man.
To hurt God, he fights man, and the kingdom God has given man- the world/earth in an attempt to hurt God.
The battle of the Kingdoms is a battle that has affected all men and the Kingdom God has given to man. The kingdom God gave man is called earth, and Satan hijacked it by deception.
The intention behind this is to hurt God through His creation
Genesis 3:4-11
Deception is still Satan's biggest weapon in this battle of the Kingdoms
 2 Corinthians 11:3
Satan's aim of continuing to deceive humanity is to hurt God by afflicting the human race who God loves and created in His own image.

Satan recruits his agents by deception- John 8:44, Revelation 12:9
God recruits his agents by election and love. Titus 1:1, Romans 8:33, 1 John 3:1

This battle between Satan's kingdom and God's kingdom spills over into every area of man's existence. So man finds himself battling on all sides.
Jude 1:3-21 shows us the many sides of man's battles:
1) We battle to maintain our faith or the originality of our faith
2) We battle not to fall victim to false teachers.
3) We battle to remain faithful to God.
4) We battle fallen angels: the fallen angels that crossed their boundaries during the days of Noah were put in chains of darkness by God. 2 Peter 2:4,5
5) We battle sexual immorality and the perversions of the world through the flesh.
6) We battle rebellion in different ways and places.
7) We battle the temptation of false profit.
8) We battle not to fall victim to false prophets.
The list goes on
The reason we find it easier to sin than obey God is because of this battle of the kingdoms!

Your Father Hears

Matthew 6:5,6 Prayer should be directed to the Father. Jesus showed this when He taught His disciples the Lord's prayer. It should be a great comfort to you to know that the creator and God of all hears you when you pray. This should encourage you to pray and keep praying. In our day to day relationships with people our communication will reduce towards those who don't pay attention when we're talking to them. The good thing about God is that He is never distracted. Know you have His attention when you pray . He can be communicated with. He hears, He created the ears. Psalm 94:9 Jesus encouraged prayer. Matthew 26:40 Jesus taught prayer. Luke 11:1,2 If Jesus prayed, you will need to pray. Why Should You Pray? *Pray because prayer brings God's intervention. Isaiah 38:5,6 *Pray because that's how you are authorized to communicate with God. 1 Thessalonians 15:16-18 *Pray because it is a major way of birthing God's will on earth. 1 Kings 18

The Importance Of The Anointing

Acts 10:38 The anointing is the presence of the Holy Spirit with a person. The anointing speaks, the anointing directs, and the anointing teaches people what they need to know and do. 1 John 2:27 You need the anointing. You can grow in the anointing. It is also possible to depart from the anointing. The anointing won't depart from you but you can depart from the anointing. You should remain in Him. It is worth it investing time to understand the your anointing, growing in your anointing and obeying the anointing. As you get to know a person better by spending time with them, so it is with the anointing in your life. With the anointing, you can't go wrong. The anointing strategically positions you in God's kingdom and in life. Jesus was full of the Holy Spirit. Colossians 2:9 Jesus had the anointing when He was here on earth. Jesus is our example of what our life can be when we have the anointing. Hebrews 12:2 Jesus knew His purpose. Luke 2:49 Jesus

Navigating A New Year

Isaiah  42:16 Our text passage above shows us God is the one who shows us the path to take and leads us in new directions. Your path matters to God. The way you you choose to take is important to God. Your steps are seen by God and ordered by God. Psalm 37:23 The year ahead of you matters to God too. Luke 13:8-9 Each year God has given you the grace to witness, experience, and journey through is another opportunity to be fruitful for God. God wants you to make the most of the year ahead of you to His glory. Human beings do not always know the way and path to go, we can be limited in wisdom. History shows we do not always make the best choices. The year ahead of us will require knowing the way to go, having the wisdom to make the best decisions and choices. Deuteronomy 30:19 To successfully navigate the year we need to stay in God.. To navigate is to find your way through, it is following the right path to a specific destination. Car drivers either buy a GPS/Navigation device system or
