GOD, BLESSINGS AND PRIORITIES. (Sunday message transcript)

Text: Luke 12:29-31

Having priorities brings order into our lives.
God is a God of priority. He teaches and shows us priority in His Word.
God is focused, wise and intelligent.
God knows the difference between a need and a want.
God knows what He wants.
God knows what He needs.
God knows what you need, what you want and He sees you right where you are.
God is interested in us getting our priorities right, we see this from the story of Mary and Martha Luke 10:38-42
God expects us to make His Word our priority.
God expects us to make Him, His Word our priority.
The seeking of God, the ways of God and the Spirit of God is seeking first the Kingdom of God, and seeking the Kingdom of God first is what releases the blessing. Matthew 6:33
And it's the blessing that removes sorrow from our lives, it's the blessing that enriches us.
Proverbs 10:22

God's priority is His Kingdom, and you are part of that Kingdom if Jesus is in your life.
God expects us to make the advancing of His Kingdom our priority, God wants us to be Kingdom minded. Matthew 6:33

The study of scriptures shows us that God's priority is His Kingdom, His power and His glory!
1 Chronicles 29:11, Matthew 6:13
Within God's Kingdom, His glory and power is revealed. And that Kingdom is within you when Jesus is within you. Luke 17:21
If God's Kingdom is God's priority, as God's son or daughter He expects you to make His Kingdom your priority. Matthew 13:44

The knowledge of God's Kingdom comes by staying at the feet of the Master and learning from Him. This is what Mary was commended for by Jesus. Mary was commended for getting her priority right. Luke 10:42

If we are going to receive God's blessings our priorities as individuals, as a ministry, as a family, as a nation will have to be clear for we are dealing with a God who is orderly and whose priorities are clear.
One of God's priorities is that God's children should love Him. John 21:15-17
A priority for us as individuals and God's people should be thinking the right thoughts. Philipians 4:8
Right thoughts and right thinking come about by thinking God's Word. Hebrews 4:12
God's Word brings about right thoughts, right thoughts bring about right thinking, and right thinking leads to right action
WHAT SHOULD OUR PRIORITIES BE AS GOD'S CHILDREN?-
1) Love for God. Luke 10:27, Deuteronomy 6:5
2) Love for our fellow man. 1 John 3:10
3) God's Kingdom. Acts 28:31, Matthew 25:34, Matthew 16:19
4) The Blessing- we need the blessing to prevail. Genesis 1:28-31, Proverbs 10:22
5) Our quiet time with God. Matthew 6:6, James 4:8, Psalms 1:2
6) Our health. 3 John 2, Jeremiah 30:17
7) Our love life (marriage/relationship)- 1 Corinthians 7:9, Ecclesiastes 4:9-12
8) Our family life- Joshua 24:15, Proverbs 6:20, Proverbs 1:8
9) Our ministries and ministry gifts- Ephesians 4:11-13, 2 Timothy 4:5

Your Father Hears

Matthew 6:5,6 Prayer should be directed to the Father. Jesus showed this when He taught His disciples the Lord's prayer. It should be a great comfort to you to know that the creator and God of all hears you when you pray. This should encourage you to pray and keep praying. In our day to day relationships with people our communication will reduce towards those who don't pay attention when we're talking to them. The good thing about God is that He is never distracted. Know you have His attention when you pray . He can be communicated with. He hears, He created the ears. Psalm 94:9 Jesus encouraged prayer. Matthew 26:40 Jesus taught prayer. Luke 11:1,2 If Jesus prayed, you will need to pray. Why Should You Pray? *Pray because prayer brings God's intervention. Isaiah 38:5,6 *Pray because that's how you are authorized to communicate with God. 1 Thessalonians 15:16-18 *Pray because it is a major way of birthing God's will on earth. 1 Kings 18

Navigating A New Year

Isaiah  42:16 Our text passage above shows us God is the one who shows us the path to take and leads us in new directions. Your path matters to God. The way you you choose to take is important to God. Your steps are seen by God and ordered by God. Psalm 37:23 The year ahead of you matters to God too. Luke 13:8-9 Each year God has given you the grace to witness, experience, and journey through is another opportunity to be fruitful for God. God wants you to make the most of the year ahead of you to His glory. Human beings do not always know the way and path to go, we can be limited in wisdom. History shows we do not always make the best choices. The year ahead of us will require knowing the way to go, having the wisdom to make the best decisions and choices. Deuteronomy 30:19 To successfully navigate the year we need to stay in God.. To navigate is to find your way through, it is following the right path to a specific destination. Car drivers either buy a GPS/Navigation device system or

The Importance Of The Anointing

Acts 10:38 The anointing is the presence of the Holy Spirit with a person. The anointing speaks, the anointing directs, and the anointing teaches people what they need to know and do. 1 John 2:27 You need the anointing. You can grow in the anointing. It is also possible to depart from the anointing. The anointing won't depart from you but you can depart from the anointing. You should remain in Him. It is worth it investing time to understand the your anointing, growing in your anointing and obeying the anointing. As you get to know a person better by spending time with them, so it is with the anointing in your life. With the anointing, you can't go wrong. The anointing strategically positions you in God's kingdom and in life. Jesus was full of the Holy Spirit. Colossians 2:9 Jesus had the anointing when He was here on earth. Jesus is our example of what our life can be when we have the anointing. Hebrews 12:2 Jesus knew His purpose. Luke 2:49 Jesus
