TRUE CHRISTIANITY (back to the basics) (Transcript)

Text: John 8:12

True Christianity is not about being stuck in a religious pit of the past.
True Christianity is not having a religious spirit.
True Christianity is not having a 'holier than thou attitude'
True Christianity is not church traditions, true Christianity is not man made traditions of worship, man made traditions of living, doing things or acting.
True Christianity is not about being rigid when it comes to methods, traditions, and ways of living.
True Christianity is not necessarily dressing a certain way or acting pious before men.
True Christianity is not necessarily making long prayers before people or screaming and shouting when praying.
Matthew 6:7-8
True Christianity is not taking off our shoes when we are in church or dressing alike when we are in the midst of God's people.
True Christianity is not having a uniform we all wear in church or on Sundays, for God is a God of diversity.
Nature is manifold, everything God created reveals God's diversity and creativity.

Even the wisdom of God is manifold, which means God's wisdom is many sided.

(Philippians 3:10)
Christianity is not living in the temple, the synagogue or church, or praying in church at the expense of the assignment God has given you which maybe outside the four walls of the church. We are not the salt of the church, we are the salt of the earth.

The only reason we should attend a church is because we believe that church teaches the truths of Jesus and His Word.
The only reason we should follow a minister of the gospel, should be as a result of the minister truly pointing us to Jesus. 2 Timothy 4:3-4, Titus 1:9

True Christianity is when a person becomes the hands with which God works, the legs with which God moves, the eyes with which God sees and the ears with which God hears, for we are the temple of the Holy Ghost.

Your Father Hears

Matthew 6:5,6 Prayer should be directed to the Father. Jesus showed this when He taught His disciples the Lord's prayer. It should be a great comfort to you to know that the creator and God of all hears you when you pray. This should encourage you to pray and keep praying. In our day to day relationships with people our communication will reduce towards those who don't pay attention when we're talking to them. The good thing about God is that He is never distracted. Know you have His attention when you pray . He can be communicated with. He hears, He created the ears. Psalm 94:9 Jesus encouraged prayer. Matthew 26:40 Jesus taught prayer. Luke 11:1,2 If Jesus prayed, you will need to pray. Why Should You Pray? *Pray because prayer brings God's intervention. Isaiah 38:5,6 *Pray because that's how you are authorized to communicate with God. 1 Thessalonians 15:16-18 *Pray because it is a major way of birthing God's will on earth. 1 Kings 18

The Importance Of The Anointing

Acts 10:38 The anointing is the presence of the Holy Spirit with a person. The anointing speaks, the anointing directs, and the anointing teaches people what they need to know and do. 1 John 2:27 You need the anointing. You can grow in the anointing. It is also possible to depart from the anointing. The anointing won't depart from you but you can depart from the anointing. You should remain in Him. It is worth it investing time to understand the your anointing, growing in your anointing and obeying the anointing. As you get to know a person better by spending time with them, so it is with the anointing in your life. With the anointing, you can't go wrong. The anointing strategically positions you in God's kingdom and in life. Jesus was full of the Holy Spirit. Colossians 2:9 Jesus had the anointing when He was here on earth. Jesus is our example of what our life can be when we have the anointing. Hebrews 12:2 Jesus knew His purpose. Luke 2:49 Jesus

Navigating A New Year

Isaiah  42:16 Our text passage above shows us God is the one who shows us the path to take and leads us in new directions. Your path matters to God. The way you you choose to take is important to God. Your steps are seen by God and ordered by God. Psalm 37:23 The year ahead of you matters to God too. Luke 13:8-9 Each year God has given you the grace to witness, experience, and journey through is another opportunity to be fruitful for God. God wants you to make the most of the year ahead of you to His glory. Human beings do not always know the way and path to go, we can be limited in wisdom. History shows we do not always make the best choices. The year ahead of us will require knowing the way to go, having the wisdom to make the best decisions and choices. Deuteronomy 30:19 To successfully navigate the year we need to stay in God.. To navigate is to find your way through, it is following the right path to a specific destination. Car drivers either buy a GPS/Navigation device system or
