THE SPIRITUAL SIGNIFICANCE OF LIGHT

Text: Romans 1:20, John 1:1-10

What is light? It is the natural agent that stimulates sight and makes things visible.
Light is illumination, brightness, lusture, a glow, a dazzle.
Every light has something that generates it, every light has something that shines it forth, an agent that makes it manifest.
Examples: lamps and light bulbs shine light that is electronically powered. 
Rainbows are arranged by God
The sun shines forth light that is used for solar energy.
So lamps, light bulbs and the sun are forms of light sources that are useful to us, as light is always useful. 
As light is useful physically, it is useful spiritually. 
Romans 1:20
Light has spiritual significance.
Jesus identified with light. 
In fact Jesus called himself the Light.

In the spirit realm there are different lights. 
John 1:9
But Jesus is THE LIGHT, the main light.
The spiritual light we are talking about gives life. 
John 1:4
God's Word is light. 
John 1:4-5
If there is a true light, then there are false lights. 
2 Corinthians 11:4
John 8:12- Jesus is the true light, the light of God
The light that was Jesus when He walked this earth was powered by THE HOLY SPIRIT!
The Holy Spirit is the light at work in Jesus.
The Holy Spirit is the light at work in God's Word. 
2 Corinthians 3:6
The Holy Spirit was the light at work in God's disciples. 
Acts 1:5, Acts 2:1-4
The Holy Spirit is the light at work in christian believers. 
Matthew 5:14, Acts 1:8
Jesus didn't have the fullness of God's light until the Holy Spirit had come. 
Then He could boldly proclaim John 8:12-that He is the light of the world.
The kingdom we are from is a kingdom of light.
 It is called the Kingdom of God's dear son. 
Colossians 1:13

The path of the believer is made clear by light, Proverbs 4:18, and everything that has to do with direction, paths, and movement in the scriptures and in God's Kingdom is a work of the Holy Spirit. 
Genesis 1:2, John 8:14
So when we say The Light Of Jesus Christ Assembly, we are simply saying ASSEMBLY OF THE HOLY SPIRIT, we are saying we are a church body with the Holy Spirit at work in us.
Light in scripture symbolizes hope, a future, a good path, divinity, God's Kingdom, the Holy Spirit and the Word.

As a church what will the Holy Spirit do for us?
1) THE SUPERNATURAL- LUKE 1:35
2) PURITY- HEBREWS 9:1
3) DIVINE DIRECTION- LUKE 4:1
4) DIVINE TEACHING- ISAIAH 11:2,3
5) SPEAKING GOD'S WORD- JOHN 3:34
6) DIVINE INSTRUCTIONS-JOHN 3:34
7) POWER OVER DEVILS- MATTHEW 12:28
8) DIVINE HEALTH- ROMANS 8:11
9) EMPOWERMENT- ZECHARIAH 4:6

Navigating A New Year

 Isaiah  42:16 Our text passage above shows us God is the one who shows us the path to take and leads us in new directions. Your path matters to God. The way you you choose to take is important to God. Your steps are seen by God and ordered by God. Psalm 37:23 The year ahead of you matters to God too. Luke 13:8-9 Each year God has given you the grace to witness, experience, and journey through is another opportunity to be fruitful for God. God wants you to make the most of the year ahead of you to His glory. Human beings do not always know the way and path to go, we can be limited in wisdom. The Importance Of The Anointing

Acts 10:38 The anointing is the presence of the Holy Spirit with a person. The anointing speaks, the anointing directs, and the anointing teaches people what they need to know and do. 1 John 2:27 You need the anointing. You can grow in the anointing. It is also possible to depart from the anointing. The anointing won't depart from you but you can depart from the anointing. You should remain in Him. It is worth it investing time to understand the your anointing, growing in your anointing and obeying the anointing. As you get to know a person better by spending time with them, so it is with the anointing in your life. With the anointing, you can't go wrong.
