Tough Minds For Tough Times

2 Timothy 3:1 It is an obvious fact we are in tough times, many people know this even those that are not students of the Bible or believe in God. The Bible calls these times we are in perilous times. Perilous times are hard, difficult times the Bible has informed us will occur here on earth before the Lord's return. We should know we are in perilous times because the Bible had shown us what things will be like during these perilous times. 2 Timothy 3:1-8 These perilous times call for being tough minded. Tough times require tough minds. To be tough minded is to have a mindset that keeps going despite critics, detractors, enemies, and evil around you. To be tough minded is to have a mental make up that doesn't worry much about public opinion, your reputation or image but doing God's will. John 4:34 Jesus Christ was tough minded when He walked the earth. He knew Satan wanted to stop Him and the kingdom of darkness was against His mission, He knew evil men wante...

Grace For Good Thoughts

Philippians 4:8 Grace is applicable to every area of our lives and every aspect of our being. When the grace of God abounds to every or any aspect of our lives and being, there will be a positive difference in that area. 2 Corinthians 9:8 We need the grace of God. 2 Corinthians 12:9 Our mind is an area where God's grace is needed and necessary. The mind is a major battleground in every person's life. 2 Corinthians 10:5 With our minds we process information, make decisions, exercise our right to choose, and hold perspectives on issues. The scriptures reveal the importance of our mind. It is our minds we have to work on to see transformation in our lives. If you want to change for the better in life, change your thoughts. Romans 12:2 The enemy knows the importance of the mind and the fact that the mind plays a big part to the accepting and understanding of the gospel by anyone. You need your mind for salvation. 2 Corinthians 4:4 Our thought life is importan...

Anointed & Appointed

Isaiah 61:1-3 God has anointed His sons and daughters, His children, His church for a purpose. God is a God of purpose. He does all things for a reason, He created all things for a purpose. God anoints for a purpose and appoints for a reason. Jesus was anointed for a purpose. Jesus manifested for a reason - to destroy the works of the devil. 1 John 3:8 That mission continues today through His church, His people, His children. Jesus was appointed or sent for a purpose - to bind up the broken hearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives, and the opening of the prison to them that are bound. To proclaim a new season, God's vengeance and to comfort the mourning. He was appointed to give beauty for ashes, the oil of joy for mourning, the garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness. This appointment continues through God's people, His body. Everyone who has a relationship with God through Jesus Christ is anointed and appointed for a purpose. You have an assignment ...

Commendable Faith

Matthew 8:5-10 Faith is necessary to please God. Hebrews 11:6 Faith is necessary for spiritual achievement and godly impact. We see different types of faith manifested in scripture. Faith when used or released will always bring results. Luke 17:6 Faith can work through contact, contact with an anointed vessel or object. The vessel can be an anointed person of God and the object can be a point of contact like a prayer cloth or mantle. Matthew 9:20-22 Some also use the anointing oil or water as a point of contact to release faith. This is not wrong if God has instructed it or directed a ministry or man/woman of God that way. Faith can work or be released through the mouth too. Job 22:28 We see in the account of creation from the book of Genesis 1, God released faith through His spoken Word. The world was created by faith, God's faith. Hebrews 11:3 God expresses faith through His words - He calls forth the things that be not as though they were. Hebrews 11:3 The wo...

The Power Of Simplicity

Galatians 5:1 - "Stand fast therefore in the liberty by which Christ has made us free, and do not be entangled again with a yoke of bondage." Entanglements arise due to complexity. Confusion also comes about due to complexity. God is not a God of confusion but of peace. 1 Corinthians 14:33 Jesus Christ came to make a relationship with God simple and less complicated. John 14:23 Beware of a gospel, an individual, or a ministry that presents having a relationship with God as a long and tedious process. Colossians 2:8 Some ministers of the gospel complicate the message of Christ in an effort to look and sound spiritual. Revelation 22:18,19 The gospel should be presented simply but it doesn't make us simple minded . Psalm 19:7 Our prayers, deliverance, getting blessed, and our growing in spiritual things should not be a hard, difficult, and complicated process. We are simply asked to believe, have faith and love God . When we study the ministry of Jesus Chr...

The Fulfilled Life

Joel 2:26 We are created to live fulfilled lives. God wants you to have and live a fulfilled life. When we study and observe  everything God put in place for Adam and Eve and humanity, we will see that God made provision for human beings to live fulfilled lives. Genesis 2:8-23 How things were "in the beginning"  is still the reflection of God's will for us irrespective of the state of the world and humanity today. Matthew 19:8 The right decisions and actions in line with God's instructions will produce a fulfilled life. Deuteronomy 28:1,2 There's a difference between a fulfilled life and a life of luxury and riches. Material acquisition and money do not necessarily produce a fulfilled life. Ecclesiastes 2:1-11 King Solomon realized this. At a point in his life he came to the conclusion that material acquisition, money, and all the pleasures of this world to not necessary make a fulfilled life. King Solomon has experimented with pleasure, prosperit...

Averting Life's Tragedy

Romans 8:29 It's not God's will that our lives turn out tragically. The greatest tragedy on earth is the tragedy of an unfulfilled destiny. There is a place, a status, and a stature God intends you attain or get to before you leave the earth. Every single human being is born into this earth to fulfill his/her destiny. You have a unique destiny in God, a glorious destiny in God's sight that has to be manifested. Your destiny is linked to your purpose/assignment. Your destiny refers to where God wants you to get to in life . Spiritually, our destiny is to grow and develop into the fullness of Christ. Ephesians 4:13 In the physical realm you also have a destiny - a place, a position, an achievement, a status, a benefit that God wants you to get to. Satan is the biggest and foremost enemy of your destiny. He lost his own destiny which was to stay in the presence of God, and he doesn't want you to fulfill yours. Ezekiel 28:14 Not fulfilling destiny is some...
