Isaiah 61:1-3
God has anointed His sons and daughters, His children, His church for a purpose.
God is a God of purpose. He does all things for a reason, He created all things for a purpose.
God anoints for a purpose and appoints for a reason.
Jesus was anointed for a purpose.
Jesus manifested for a reason - to destroy the works of the devil.
1 John 3:8
That mission continues today through His church, His people, His children.
Jesus was appointed or sent for a purpose - to bind up the broken hearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives, and the opening of the prison to them that are bound. To proclaim a new season, God's vengeance and to comfort the mourning.
He was appointed to give beauty for ashes, the oil of joy for mourning, the garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness.
This appointment continues through God's people, His body.
Everyone who has a relationship with God through Jesus Christ is anointed and appointed for a purpose.
You have an assignment on this earth as a son/daughter of God.
The anointing equips you for your service to God and your relationship with Him.
The anointing also enables to function effectively through life.
The anointing in and upon your life also protects you. It forbids evil and the evil one from touching you.
Psalm 105:15
Anyone who is in Christ Jesus is anointed and appointed.
You are anointed for a specific assignment in this world and in the body of Christ.
You are also appointed to do the works of God, you are called unto greater works.
John 14:12
David the shepherd boy was anointed to be a king. He was also appointed to serve as a worshiper and a priest in the house of God.
Samson was anointed with the Spirit of might, he was also appointed to destroy the Philistines as a judge.
There is a connection between your anointing and your appointment.
The body of Christ is anointed with the Spirit of Christ in it's various gifts and dimensions and we are appointed to continue the ministry of Jesus Christ on the earth.
1 Corinthians 12:7-11
Ephesians 4:11
The anointing is for your effectiveness, spiritual office, and gifting while your appointment is for your purpose and inheritance.
