Isaiah 33:22
Our text passage shows us three positions the Lord occupies in our lives- Lawgiver, Judge and King.
We have considered previously the role of the Lord as our Judge.
We are focusing on the Lord as our King for today's teaching.
The Lord is our King.
He is the King of His body- the Church.
This means He is our authority and power and the source of it.
Kings have authority.
Kings have power, their words are powerful for they become decrees in the land.
The word of the Lord brings power into our lives, situation, circumstance and destiny.
Ecclesiastes 8:4
In His position as King He is able to save us.
He saves us from sin, sickness, shame and Satan.
He saves us from ourselves, the gates of hell, evils projected on us and an eternity of doom.
Kings are leaders, kings are dignitaries, and kings are heads.
The Lord Jesus is our leader, the highest dignitary and the head of His body.
He deserves our praise, our worship, our time and the best of each of us.
From our King Jesus we receive His righteousness, He is the King of our righteousness.
Hebrews 7:1, 2
From our King Jesus we receive miracles, He is the King of the miraculous.
John 6:9
King Jesus is the King of the Kingdom, God's kingdom.
Colossians 1:13
He is our glory, He is the King of glory.
Psalm 24:8-10
Our Lord Jesus is also King of kings, He is King over every king.
We have kings in the spirit and physical realm.
kings and dignitaries exist in the spirit realm as we have them in the physical realm.
We have spirit kings, spirit princes, spirit leaders, chief ones in the spirit realm.
Our Lord Jesus is King over every kind of king there is, spirit or physical.
Revelation 19:16
