2 Corinthians 3:18
Our text passage informs us transformation is a major part of our spiritual journey.
Transformation is a major, radical, and total change that makes a thing totally different and unrecognizable from what it used to be.
We are on a journey of transformation spiritually.
A work is being done in us, which eventually manifests outwardly.
Transformation makes new and brings the new.
Transformation leads to glory.
New things have a glory about them- their smell, the freshness, the purity and the cleaness.
New things make us happy, they bring a certain excitement.
A new car, a new house, a new job, a new pet, publishing a new book or finishing a new project, a new breakthrough, a new bouncing baby added to a couple; all these things bring great joy.
The kind of joy we feel when these things happen to us should give us an insight into the joy God's heavenly family feel when a new believer is added to the Lord's family.
Angels rejoice/celebrate when a new convert chooses Jesus Christ.
Luke 15:10
That passage also gives us an insight into how God must have felt when He just created man.
He looked at the work of His hand- the man Adam and said Adam is good.
Heaven rejoices when unbelievers become believers of Jesus the Christ.
Heaven sees us as new because in God's presence things are new and we are made new.
2 Corinthians 5:17
Without a doubt God is a God of the new.
Heaven, paradise, the new Jerusalem is a place where everything is new
He makes all things new, His mercies are new every morning.
Since the new make us joyful and happy, we should go into God's presence regularly because newness robs off on us in God's presence.
Newness, joy, rejoicing is found in heaven, they rob off on us in the place of prayer as we tarry in God's presence.
When Jesus walked the earth and performed miracles, He did new things.
He taught in a new way, different from how the Pharisees used to teach at the time.
He came with miracles that were not divination or deception but miracles that gave new body parts new skin, and even eyeballs.
An aspect of glory is the new, and the Lord desires to do a new thing for us.
Isaiah 43:19
Heaven rejoices at our newness.
Men marvel at our newness.
And evil spirits envy our newness.
Evil spirits cannot be made new for there is no repentance for them.
Repentance precedes salvation and salvation ushers in the new.
The greatest miraculous experience is the miracle of salvation and it makes us new.
Salvation through Christ is our ticket to God's presence and an eternity with God.
Our newness however starts here.
Newness is a new glory.
Our God makes new.
Revelation 21:5
He makes new because He can totally transform.
A transformation is a total change, it is for something to be unlike what it used to be.
Transformation makes new.
A good example of transformation is the metamorphosis that goes on with manifesting the butterfly.
A butterfly is totally different from a Caterpillar, but through transformation its evolved into a butterfly.
Butterflies are beautiful insects.
The glory of a butterfly is far superior to what it used to be and how it started out.
Olutosin Ogunkolade shares this teaching!
hank you Pastor Tosin, thank you for this write-up, Transformation is a complete change that makes us different from who we used to be.
ReplyDeleteAs believers, God works in us inwardly until His glory becomes visible in our lives.
New things bring joy and excitement. In the same way, heaven rejoices when a sinner repents (Luke 15:10).
2 Corinthians 5:17 reminds us that anyone in Christ is a new creation; old things have passed away, and all things have become new.
Like a caterpillar transformed into a beautiful butterfly, God transforms our lives to reflect His glory, thank you Jesus
Thank you once again Pastor Tosin for making us understand that our transformation is our testimony, and our newness reveals God's glory, Hallelujah
God bless you for your comment & for receiving the teaching.
