Let It Grow

Job 14: 7-9

Growth is the plan and will of God.
Nature shows this and the scriptures informs us so.
Our text passage shows us a tree stomp can grow again at the scent of water.
This means the tree stomp had grown or was once growing before something went wrong.
It was cut down and water was taken away from it.

At the scent of water it started growing again.
Water is life, it represents life spiritually which Jesus Christ gives.
Water also represents grace.

May God water our lives with His grace!
2 Corinthians 8:9

Grow means development, evolving, changing, transforming, increasing, and rising.

Children grown into adults, hobbies can grown into businesses and income streams, seeds evolve into plants, chicks grown into hens and cockerels, puppies grown into dogs and kittens into cats.
Every animal was once at a baby stage and they evolve from their by growing into their adult form.

When a farmer plants a seed, he expects it to grow.
As long as he obeys the laws of nature- planting the seed in the right soil, watering the seed and keeping pests away from the seed as it grows and develops, the farmer can expect to see the seed develop into a healthy plant and get a harvest from that plant.
When this happens, the seed has benefitted the farmer, it is a worthy seed.

Like the seed that grows into a beneficial plant for the farmer, we are meant to be beneficial seeds for the Lord.
We are meant to grow in wisdom, in knowledge in understanding, in character, in skill, and into the image of Christ.
The image of Christ is our adult form in the spiritual realm.
Ephesians 4:14-15

We are to grow in love.
We are to grow in our thinking, not thinking like children forever.
1 Corinthians 14:20

When a farmer plants seeds in the ground, the farmer expects the seed to grow into the plant of its type.
The farmer doesn't plant the seed, expecting the seed to remain the same forever.
When a breeder of livestock breeds his animals, he doesn't expect its young animals to remail babies forever, his joy is that his young animals grow and develop.

No human parent expects their children not to grow out of babyhood.
We don't give birth to children and not expect them to grow into human adults.
No matter how much we enjoyed carrying our children as babies and how much we valued the babyhood stage of our children, if our children don't grow beyond their baby years in due time it will become a concern to the parents of that child.

Whatever is expected to grow and doesn't grow becomes a concern in time.
No business man starts a business with the hope that is doesn't grow.
No entrepreneur puts an idea into motion with the hope that it remains only an idea after all the investments that have gone into making the idea develop.

It is the same thing with the things of the kingdom of God.
The word of God should grow in us.
Hebrews 5:12-14
The image and likeness of God should grow in us.
The talents skill and abilities God has blessed us with should grow and be put to use.
The authority and power the Lord give us is something we should grow in

To grow is to get better.
To grow is to follow the laws of nature and life.
A lack of growth shows a problem.

The only thing we should be childish in is doing evil.
We should maintain a childlike innocence when it comes to doing evil.

To grow is to progress.
Proverbs 4:18
To grow is to do better, and get better.

Are we growing in the fruits of the Spirit?
Galatians 5:22-23
Are we growing in the gifts of the Spirit?
I Corinthians 12:1-9
Are we growing in our sensitivity to the voice f the Lord?
Are we growing in our relationship with the Holy Spirit?
Are we growing as soul winners for the Lord?
Are we growing in our obedience to God?
Are we growing in the opportunities and blessings the Lord has given to us?
Are we growing in spreading the gospel?

In the parable of the talents, the Bible tells us the Master of the servants who were given talents according to their several abilities went on a journey and came back expecting his servants to have traded with his talents and increased them.
The Master got back and called each of his servants to come and give an account of how they have grown the talents (money) he have each of them.
He frowned at the last servant who had done nothing with his talent.

We are traders for the Lord here on this earth.
May our Master (Jesus Christ) not frown at us.

Fruit is a part of the growth of a tree.
If a tree has fruits, its evidence it is functioning according to how it should function.
It shows the tree has grown well.

Jesus cursed the fig tree because it did not have fruit when it should have had fruits on it.
The fig tree disappointed Jesus.
May we not disappoint Jesus.
Mark 11:12-14

We should grow in our glory, in the glory the Lord has given us and put in us.
After the hair of Samson was cut, the scripture tells us his hair began to grow again.
Judges 16:22

May we grown again in the areas where we were growing but stopped growing.
May we grow again where we have been cut down.
To grow again after a period of not growing anymore or being cut down shows here is hope for us.

A tree can grow again at the presence of water even if it has been cut down.
If there is hope for trees there is hope for us.

You may have been 'cut down' by life's challenges, enemies and the mistakes of men.
But you can grow again.
Your glory can grow again.

Samson's hair growing again means there is hope for us.
If the hair of Samson could grow again after the Philistines cut it off when he was betrayed by his lover Delilah, our hair and glory can go again too even if it had been cut down by the enemy.
Hair in scriptures and in the spiritual realm represents glory.
If the hair and glory of Samson grew again, your glory should grow and your glory can grow.

Growth is a type of glory too.

Your Father Hears

Matthew 6:5,6 Prayer should be directed to the Father. Jesus showed this when He taught His disciples the Lord's prayer. It should be a great comfort to you to know that the creator and God of all hears you when you pray. This should encourage you to pray and keep praying. In our day to day relationships with people our communication will reduce towards those who don't pay attention when we're talking to them. The good thing about God is that He is never distracted. Know you have His attention when you pray . He can be communicated with. He hears, He created the ears. Psalm 94:9 Jesus encouraged prayer. Matthew 26:40 Jesus taught prayer. Luke 11:1,2 If Jesus prayed, you will need to pray. Why Should You Pray? *Pray because prayer brings God's intervention. Isaiah 38:5,6 *Pray because that's how you are authorized to communicate with God. 1 Thessalonians 15:16-18 *Pray because it is a major way of birthing God's will on earth. 1 Kings 18...

Out Of The Ashes

Isaiah 61:3 Ashes are not seen as useful substances. Ashes are waste that's thrown away. Ashes are what is left after a substance is burnt out. Your life may seem like ashes right now but something good and beautiful can come out of it when it's given to God. You may feel like an ash yourself. You may be feeling burnt out from unpleasant experiences of the past, the previous week, the last Month , or the the last year and life's battles may have left you burnt out. Know that out of your ashes can come beauty! God is the one who gives us beauty for ashes. God can make you and your life beautiful! Don't make the ashes your permanent state. God can make your season of ashes work out into a season of glory for you. Romans 8:28 The phoenix is a mystical and fictional bird that burns out after living for about six centuries. After burning itself out it rises from it's ashes renewed, youthful and revitalized to live through another life cycle. Like the p...

Healing For Your Soul Wounds!

Your prosperity is linked to your soul. 3 John 2 Your soul is the decision making center of your life. God cares about the state of your soul. God created your soul and wants your soul to function well. It is the will of God that your soul is preserved until the coming back of Jesus Christ. 1 Thessalonians 5:23 Your soul is made up of your will, your mind and your emotions. You need your will, your mind and your emotions to function properly and to be regarded as a well balanced human being. Your soul is valuable and the enemy wants it. Your soul is part of the reason you are saved and a part of God's kingdom. 2 Corinthians 4:3,4 We are spirits who have a soul and live in a body. When your soul is wounded As our natural bodies can be affected, so can our souls. As we can have physical wounds and sores caused b...
