You Have Something

Exodus 4:1-5

Our text passage shows us God asking Moses what he had in his hand.

The answer is a rod, a shepherd's rod which God would use mightily.

What Moses had in his hand was all God needed.

God doesn't ask us to give what we do not have.

It is the kingdom of darkness who inconvenience people, asking for all sorts of things people can't get or what people do not have.

Anyone who inconveniences people to handover or give what is beyond them more often than not is a false prophet or false minister of the gospel.

Ezekiel 34:10

There is no time you do not have something to offer the Lord.

There is no time you do not have something to potentially change your fortunes through God.

Your prayer, your praise, your giving, your service, your skill, your kindness to the less privileged are seed you can sow.

They are things you can give.

The widow who gave two mites in the temple gave the least in the eyes of men but in the sight of Jesus Christ she gave the most.

Mark 12:41-44

The widow of Zarephath thought she had come to the end because of the little she had left which would not sustain her and her son, but when God stepped into her matter through Elijah the Prophet she was just starting an experience of miraculous provision.

1 Kings 17:9-24

Jesus and Peter looked cornered in the natural when the payment of temple tax was demanded of them and they had no money on them but it turned out they were going to experience supernatural unconventional provision.

Matthew 17:24-27

Situations look hopeless when it seems what we have will not suffice.

It looked like over 5,000 people would starve after traveling a very long distance by foot to see and hear Jesus.

But the situation was an opportunity for God to demonstrate His capability under a very difficult situation.

And He did.

Under unfavorable circumstances- an arid region, no shops around, and no money to buy the quantity of food to feed all those people, only a miracle would suffice.

A little boy's lunch of fish and bread was something available and through Jesus it saved the day.

Matthew 14: 13-21

You have something God can bless.

You have something God can use.

You have something God can use to produce a miracle for you.

When faced with insufficiency, present the little you have to the Lord.

When faced with difficult situations, present those difficult situations to God.

When situations are not favorable, give the situation and circumstance to God.

Your burdens may be weighing you down, God can work with it.

Matthew 11:28-30

Your insufficiency is something, its not useless; God can use it.

Your difficult situation is something, God can take it.

Those circumstances and situations that have entangled you do not intimidate God, God can use them.

They are something you can give to God.

Those burdens that have weighed you down is something you have which you can give God.

What the Lord asks of you is that you give Him all you have.

He is not asking you to give what you do not have.

If complaints, challenges, confusion, frustration, and unease is all you have then give them to Him.

Your money is not God's biggest request from you.

Your material possession is not what the Lord needs most from you.

Your heart is the biggest gift you can give God.

Matthew 22:37

There are many seeds we can give God- our time, our youth, our trust, our kindness, our patience, our love for our fellow man.
