Receiving The Spoils Of War

Judges 14:5-9

When Samson defeated a lion that is in its prime he got a reward from the battle.
His reward was the honey found in the carcass of the lion.
This suggests to me that every battle we win has something in it for us.
Every warfare has spoils we are to receive from it after winning.

This honey Samson shared with his parents, which represent his reward, his blessing, his spoil of war benefitting his family.

When Abraham battled a coalition of 4 kings  to rescue his nephew Lot and prevailed against them he got the spoils of war.
It was from those spoils he tithed to Melchizedek.
Genesis 14

In warfare, the winner gets the spoils.
In a contest or competition the winner gets the gold.

When David killed Goliath he got the 'spoils' of battle- his family being free from paying taxes, access to the palace, employment and leadership in the kings army, and marriage to the princess (one of kings Saul's daughters.)
1 Samuel 17:25

After all the Apostle Paul had gone through in life and ministry, he knew he was going to be rewarded.
2 Timothy 4:7

God has not asked us to fight battles for nothing and engage in warfare to remain as we are.
The battles we face in life have rewards, benefits, gains in them.
Every warfare has spoils that benefits the winner.
We are called to win.
We are chosen to win.
Ours is a call to triumph, we have a call to victory, to win, to overcome, to succeed.
2 Corinthians 2:14

In sports the winner wins a trophy, a gold medal, or financial reward.
The winner gets rewarded for overcoming obstacles, for triumphing over competition, and the discipline of preparation towards the tournament.
1 Corinthians 9:24

In a contest a winner must emerge.
It is often the best prepared and smartest contestant  that emerges on top.
As it is in the natural, so it is in the spiritual.
God would have you triumph.
God would have you win.
In Christ Jesus we win!

God encourages you to live physically, and fight and compete spiritually in such a way that you win.
The word of the Lord instructs us not to let another take our crown.
Revelation 3:11

You are to defend your crown, your position, your destiny, your place in life and eternity.
God has rewards to give.
He rewards us here on earth and He rewards us in eternity.

These rewards have to go to someone.
Don't let your reward be given to another.
These rewards are your treasures, they must not go to another.

We win the battles of life by the Spirit of the Lord.
We win the battles of life by the strength God gives.
We win the battles of life by the wisdom of God.
The Holy Spirit is our advantage in the battles of life.
May God give you the spoils of war!

Your Father Hears

Matthew 6:5,6 Prayer should be directed to the Father. Jesus showed this when He taught His disciples the Lord's prayer. It should be a great comfort to you to know that the creator and God of all hears you when you pray. This should encourage you to pray and keep praying. In our day to day relationships with people our communication will reduce towards those who don't pay attention when we're talking to them. The good thing about God is that He is never distracted. Know you have His attention when you pray . He can be communicated with. He hears, He created the ears. Psalm 94:9 Jesus encouraged prayer. Matthew 26:40 Jesus taught prayer. Luke 11:1,2 If Jesus prayed, you will need to pray. Why Should You Pray? *Pray because prayer brings God's intervention. Isaiah 38:5,6 *Pray because that's how you are authorized to communicate with God. 1 Thessalonians 15:16-18 *Pray because it is a major way of birthing God's will on earth. 1 Kings 18...

Out Of The Ashes

Isaiah 61:3 Ashes are not seen as useful substances. Ashes are waste that's thrown away. Ashes are what is left after a substance is burnt out. Your life may seem like ashes right now but something good and beautiful can come out of it when it's given to God. You may feel like an ash yourself. You may be feeling burnt out from unpleasant experiences of the past, the previous week, the last Month , or the the last year and life's battles may have left you burnt out. Know that out of your ashes can come beauty! God is the one who gives us beauty for ashes. God can make you and your life beautiful! Don't make the ashes your permanent state. God can make your season of ashes work out into a season of glory for you. Romans 8:28 The phoenix is a mystical and fictional bird that burns out after living for about six centuries. After burning itself out it rises from it's ashes renewed, youthful and revitalized to live through another life cycle. Like the p...
