The Rewards Of Faith

Hebrews 12:2

We know from our text passage that Jesus Christ kept going as a human despite the pain, discomfort and death ahead of him because He could see the glory ahead.

The joy set before Him was His reward.

He knew and saw the glory ahead of Him, He saw the reward, it kept Him going.

You and I are part of His reward, His testimony and the glory ahead that He saw.

Knowing there are rewards ahead of our faith journey or in the path of our faith journey helps us endure what we need to endure.

Rewards help us endure.

Rewards motivate us.

Rewards inspire us to keep going.

Rewards help us to stay consistent.

Rewards strengthen us to endure to the end.

An aspect of having faith is knowing that God rewards our faith.

Your faith in God is seen in your trust, your consistency, your dedication, your prayer life, your praise and godly lifestyle towards God.

We have not been called to have faith for just the sake of having faith.

Our faith pleases God.

Hebrews 11:6

And when God is pleased He rewards us beyond our imagination.

When God was pleased with Solomon's speech/prayer, Solomon received from God more than He asked for.

1 Kings 3:10-14

God honored Solomon's faith!

Faith can attract the honor of God into our lives.

Solomon was decorated and glorified by God.

Faith can make God add a new glory, a new color to our lives!

Faith is always rewarded either in this life or in eternity and even both!

Faith makes us seek God, seeking God is evidence of faith.

When we seek first God's kingdom and righteousness God adds to us more than we expect.

Matthew 6:33

When Cornelius continuously carried out acts of faith through giving and prayer, he was rewarded  for it, it lead to an angelic visitation from the Lord.

Acts 10:1-8

Faith can bring and attract supernatural encounters into our lives.

Jesus had angelic encounters, Abraham did, Gideon did, Samson's parents did, Zechariah the priest and father of John the Baptists did, the Apostle Paul did to name a few.

Cornelius acts of faith through giving to the poor and prayer led to the salvation of his family.

Faith brings blessings to our family, even salvation.

Acts 10: 44-48

Our walk of faith does not only bless us but it blesses our family members.

When God is pleased with us, when God appreciates our walk of faith, even our lineage benefits from it.

David was a shepherd boy who had strong faith in God.

His faith in God qualified him to be chosen.

His being chosen by God brought royalty into His linage, which is the lineage Jesus Christ the Messiah came out from.

The lineage of David became a linage of royals- earthly and spiritual royals.

Psalm 132:11,12

This is in fulfilment of God's promise to Abraham.

Faith can bring blessings to your lineage and generation.

Abraham is a good example of faith.

His faith made the impossible possible for him.

He and his wife were associated with barrenness but they became parents of a new generation of people on the earth.

Abraham is the father of everyone in Christ Jesus, he is the father of faith and we are blessed because of him.

Romans 4:11-16

Your faith can bless your lineage and generations.

Your Father Hears

Matthew 6:5,6 Prayer should be directed to the Father. Jesus showed this when He taught His disciples the Lord's prayer. It should be a great comfort to you to know that the creator and God of all hears you when you pray. This should encourage you to pray and keep praying. In our day to day relationships with people our communication will reduce towards those who don't pay attention when we're talking to them. The good thing about God is that He is never distracted. Know you have His attention when you pray . He can be communicated with. He hears, He created the ears. Psalm 94:9 Jesus encouraged prayer. Matthew 26:40 Jesus taught prayer. Luke 11:1,2 If Jesus prayed, you will need to pray. Why Should You Pray? *Pray because prayer brings God's intervention. Isaiah 38:5,6 *Pray because that's how you are authorized to communicate with God. 1 Thessalonians 15:16-18 *Pray because it is a major way of birthing God's will on earth. 1 Kings 18...

Out Of The Ashes

Isaiah 61:3 Ashes are not seen as useful substances. Ashes are waste that's thrown away. Ashes are what is left after a substance is burnt out. Your life may seem like ashes right now but something good and beautiful can come out of it when it's given to God. You may feel like an ash yourself. You may be feeling burnt out from unpleasant experiences of the past, the previous week, the last Month , or the the last year and life's battles may have left you burnt out. Know that out of your ashes can come beauty! God is the one who gives us beauty for ashes. God can make you and your life beautiful! Don't make the ashes your permanent state. God can make your season of ashes work out into a season of glory for you. Romans 8:28 The phoenix is a mystical and fictional bird that burns out after living for about six centuries. After burning itself out it rises from it's ashes renewed, youthful and revitalized to live through another life cycle. Like the p...
