The Mystery and Priesthood of Melchizedek

Genesis 14:11-20

From the scriptures we know it's not everyone who is on this earth and looks like a human being that's a human being.
Not everyone we see is human!
Angels are not human beings, but from time to time some of them manifest in the form of human beings to carry out God's will among us.

This is why the Bible encourages us to show hospitality to strangers.
Some have blessed angels in the act of being kind and hospitable.
In the same way, demons and fallen angels can also take on forms as people temporarily, to carry  out Satan's agenda.

The visitors Abraham had in Genesis 18:2 were not human beings, they were divine but appeared in the form of human beings.
From the old testament to the new testament, we see divine visitors coming to the earth in one form or another. Either in human form or their  divine form.

The fallen angels who married women in Genesis 6 were not human but took on the form of human beings and married women to carry out Satan's plan. They must have lived on earth for a while in human form to marry human women.
Jesus Christ was not an ordinary human being.
He was divine.
He was God's Word made flesh.
So, God can take on the form of a human being.

Melchizedek was not an ordinary human being.
Melchizedek was a divine being that came to live on earth in Abraham's time for a purpose.
Melchizedek is one of the mysteries of life.
Melchizedek, though he features in the scriptures briefly is one of the mysteries of the Bible.
The Bible is clear about it that Melchizedek is not an ordinary human being.
 Hebrew 7:3

In Bible times people were not permitted to serve as priests except their parents, family members and lineage was known.
But Melchizedek whose genealogy or history is not known functioned as a priest!
Until Jesus came, no one functioned as a priest and a King at the same time except David who is a pointer to Jesus Christ who is to come.
God gave David the grace to function in different offices. However, David did not function as a full time priest like Melchizedek did.
Melchizedek was a full time priest and King at the same time. A position reserved purely for Jesus's order.

No human produced Melchizedek. He had no father or mother.
No one ordained him into the priestly office except God. There was no inauguration day to his ministry.
Everything about Melchizedek points to God.

Abraham tithed to Melchizedek because Abraham was a man who has the ability to know people who were from God and people who were not ordinary. Such beings were always drawn to Abraham it seems.

Melchizedek was King of Salem, Salem means peace.
Melchizedek was a priest to God most High.
Jesus is the high priest of God to us on God's right hand. Jesus is the only high priest of God.

The Bible tells us Melchizedek was greater than Abraham.
Jesus Christ is the only man in the Bible bold enough to claim greater greatness than Abraham.
Before Abraham was, Jesus existed.

The name Melchizedek means King of righteousness, only Jesus is the King of righteousness!
Melchizedek received Abraham's  tithe.
The tithe is for God and His work on the earth.
Melchizedek served the Holy communion (bread and wine) which is one of the things  we see Jesus doing in His ministry and on the earth.
Nobody could have served the communion table and known it's meaning except Jesus Himself.

Melchizedek is Jesus before we knew Him as Jesus the Christ.
Melchizedek is Jesus before He appeared to the world as Christ.
Melchizedek is Jesus in His pre-incarnate form.

Jesus is the one the tithe is for, for Jesus is God.
Never give your tithe to a man or ministry God has not touched you to give it to.
We have been made Kings and priests after the order of Jesus Christ, so among the priests and kings in Christ's Kingdom Jesus determines who can and should be collecting the tithe on His behalf (those in the five fold ministry).
Only Jesus can instruct you on which individual or ministry you should give your tithe to on His behalf.

Your Father Hears

Matthew 6:5,6 Prayer should be directed to the Father. Jesus showed this when He taught His disciples the Lord's prayer. It should be a great comfort to you to know that the creator and God of all hears you when you pray. This should encourage you to pray and keep praying. In our day to day relationships with people our communication will reduce towards those who don't pay attention when we're talking to them. The good thing about God is that He is never distracted. Know you have His attention when you pray . He can be communicated with. He hears, He created the ears. Psalm 94:9 Jesus encouraged prayer. Matthew 26:40 Jesus taught prayer. Luke 11:1,2 If Jesus prayed, you will need to pray. Why Should You Pray? *Pray because prayer brings God's intervention. Isaiah 38:5,6 *Pray because that's how you are authorized to communicate with God. 1 Thessalonians 15:16-18 *Pray because it is a major way of birthing God's will on earth. 1 Kings 18

The Importance Of The Anointing

Acts 10:38 The anointing is the presence of the Holy Spirit with a person. The anointing speaks, the anointing directs, and the anointing teaches people what they need to know and do. 1 John 2:27 You need the anointing. You can grow in the anointing. It is also possible to depart from the anointing. The anointing won't depart from you but you can depart from the anointing. You should remain in Him. It is worth it investing time to understand the your anointing, growing in your anointing and obeying the anointing. As you get to know a person better by spending time with them, so it is with the anointing in your life. With the anointing, you can't go wrong. The anointing strategically positions you in God's kingdom and in life. Jesus was full of the Holy Spirit. Colossians 2:9 Jesus had the anointing when He was here on earth. Jesus is our example of what our life can be when we have the anointing. Hebrews 12:2 Jesus knew His purpose. Luke 2:49 Jesus

Navigating A New Year

Isaiah  42:16 Our text passage above shows us God is the one who shows us the path to take and leads us in new directions. Your path matters to God. The way you you choose to take is important to God. Your steps are seen by God and ordered by God. Psalm 37:23 The year ahead of you matters to God too. Luke 13:8-9 Each year God has given you the grace to witness, experience, and journey through is another opportunity to be fruitful for God. God wants you to make the most of the year ahead of you to His glory. Human beings do not always know the way and path to go, we can be limited in wisdom. History shows we do not always make the best choices. The year ahead of us will require knowing the way to go, having the wisdom to make the best decisions and choices. Deuteronomy 30:19 To successfully navigate the year we need to stay in God.. To navigate is to find your way through, it is following the right path to a specific destination. Car drivers either buy a GPS/Navigation device system or
