Parables Of The Kingdom

Storytelling was an aspect of Jesus's teaching ministry.
Jesus was a Master story teller.
Jesus told stories to communicate divine truth, He told stories to reveal the mind of God, He told stories to help people's understanding of the Kingdom of God.

He told these stories in such a wise way that  people won't forget them easily.
Everyone enjoys a good story and these stories were part of what drew people to Jesus.

The stories Jesus told are called parables.
Parables are fictional stories that have a moral or spiritual lesson within them.
There is a lot we can learn from the parables of Jesus about how to live, how we should treat each other, our heavenly Father, prophecy of the future and the Kingdom of God.

The parable of the prodigal son shows us the Father's heart towards us.
The story of the persistent widow shows us how to win with God and in life.
The parable of the mustard seed shows us how the Kingdom of God grows.
The parable of the lost sheep reveals your value.
Jesus used these stories or parables to drive home his point.

Modern day self-help teachers and motivational speakers are just catching up on an understanding Jesus already knew and operated with thousands of years ago- using stories to get the attention of their audience and to drive home their point.
The parables of Jesus are worth studying today because they contain vital keys for our spiritual grow and understanding.

There are parables that teach us about God's Kingdom:

1) Parable of the hidden treasure: Matthew 13:44
It is a parable showing us the value of God's Kingdom.

2) Parable of the beautiful pearl: Matthew 13:45, 46
It shows us God's Kingdom has to be sought for.
It shows us you must hide it to make it yours.
It shows us the value of the Kingdom.
It shows us there is joy for us in God's Kingdom..
God's kingdom is likened to a pearl of great value. Pearls are perfect and do not need to be improved upon or purified.

3) Parable of household treasures: Matthew 13:52
It talks about old and new doctrines.
There are truths in the old covenant we should hold unto.
There is truth in the new covenant.

4) Parable of the yeast: Matthew 13:33
It shows us how the Kingdom of heaven spreads.
It shows us leaven or yeast as the Kingdom of God and bread as the earth.
The kingdom of God has invaded the earth and will spread through the earth.
It is in-line with Daniel 2.

Leaven or yeast is also used by Jesus to represent doctrine/teaching. Matthew 16:6- wrong teachings and doctrines can also spread all over the world.

5) Mustard seed Parable: Matthew 13:31-32
As your faith grows the Kingdom of God grows within you.
As the Kingdom of God grows within you, your faith grows.

6) The parable of the Sprouting seed: Mark 4:26-29
It shows the Kingdom of God is not of man, and how it grows is known only to God. How the Word of God grows in our hearts and changes us is purely God's work.

There are other Parables about the Kingdom in the Holy scriptures.

Navigating A New Year

Isaiah  42:16 Our text passage above shows us God is the one who shows us the path to take and leads us in new directions. Your path matters to God. The way you you choose to take is important to God. Your steps are seen by God and ordered by God. Psalm 37:23 The year ahead of you matters to God too. Luke 13:8-9 Each year God has given you the grace to witness, experience, and journey through is another opportunity to be fruitful for God. God wants you to make the most of the year ahead of you to His glory. Human beings do not always know the way and path to go, we can be limited in wisdom. History shows we do not always make the best choices. The year ahead of us will require knowing the way to go, having the wisdom to make the best decisions and choices. Deuteronomy 30:19 To successfully navigate the year we need to stay in God.. To navigate is to find your way through, it is following the right path to a specific destination. Your Father Hears

Matthew 6:5,6 Prayer should be directed to the Father. Jesus showed this when He taught His disciples the Lord's prayer. It should be a great comfort to you to know that the creator and God of all hears you when you pray. This should encourage you to pray and keep praying. In our day to day relationships with people our communication will reduce towards those who don't pay attention when we're talking to them. The good thing about God is that He is never distracted. Know you have His attention when you pray . He can be communicated with. He hears, He created the ears. Psalm 94:9 Jesus encouraged prayer. Matthew 26:40 Jesus taught prayer. Luke 11:1,2 If Jesus prayed, you will need to pray. Why Should You Pray? *Pray because prayer brings God's intervention. Isaiah 38:5,6 *Pray because that's how you are authorized to communicate with God. 1 Thessalonians 15:16-18 *Pray because it is a major way of birthing God's will on earth. 1 Kings 18

The Importance Of The Anointing

Acts 10:38 The anointing is the presence of the Holy Spirit with a person. The anointing speaks, the anointing directs, and the anointing teaches people what they need to know and do. 1 John 2:27 You need the anointing. You can grow in the anointing. It is also possible to depart from the anointing. The anointing won't depart from you but you can depart from the anointing. You should remain in Him. It is worth it investing time to understand the your anointing, growing in your anointing and obeying the anointing. As you get to know a person better by spending time with them, so it is with the anointing in your life. With the anointing, you can't go wrong. The anointing strategically positions you in God's kingdom and in life. Jesus was full of the Holy Spirit. Colossians 2:9 Jesus had the anointing when He was here on earth. Jesus is our example of what our life can be when we have the anointing. Hebrews 12:2 Jesus knew His purpose. Luke 2:49 Jesus
