UNDERSTANDING THE FATHER'S BUSINESS

Luke 2:42-49

From a young age, Jesus had a consciousness many people do not have today.
From a young age, Jesus made the Father's business His priority.
We will do well to know what the Father's business is, if truly we want to do the will of our heavenly Father.
God has business here on earth.
The parable of the talents is a parable showing us the business side of God, and God wants us to approach life with a sense of business. Matthew 25:14-30
Business refers to productivity, profit, judgement and success.
There is no business for you in a venture you're not making any profit from.
For profit to come we must be productive, putting our time and effort to something that will yield result.
As Christians we are meant to be fruitful. John 15:4-8
In business there is judgement involved.
Judgement refers to our ability to reason, make decisions, analyse situations, and put our time and resources in things or people that will yield results for us.
The end result of any good business is success.
To be in Christ is to be in business with God.
Just as we expect our business to yield success, God expects us to yield fruit for His Kingdom.
We are representatives of God here on earth doing business for our heavenly Father.
1 Peter 4:10

The business of our heavenly Father is the Kingdom of God, the aim of the business is souls, and our success in the Father's business is winning and influencing as many people or souls as possible into God's Kingdom.
Proverbs 11:30
Ministries are platforms God gives individuals or people to do business on for the Father.
Luke 6:12-16
Callings are assignments God gives His people to operate in for Kingdom effectiveness.
John 15:16- we are called to bear fruit.

A ministry is not the Kingdom of God.
A ministry is a platform that shows how the Kingdom of God works through teaching or preaching or demonstration of spiritual gifts. Matthew 4:23
Ministries, callings and spiritual offices are all for the advancing of God's Kingdom.
They are to be used to better people's lives and bring people into God's Kingdom.

How do we do business for the Father?
a) Use what God has given you well.
Moses used in the rod in his hand.
David used the sling and stone.
Jesus used His power and authority which is from another realm. God's Kingdom!

b) Function in your gift and ability.
The things you trade with to get God glorifying results are what God has given you.
Your time, your energy, your gift, talents and ability.
Don't try and use what you have not been given, use what you have.

c) Be born again
Salvation is the first step to partnering with God and working for Him.

d) Respond to the call of God upon your life
Humanity would not have heard about Moses, Gideon, David, the disciples of Jesus, and the Apostle Paul they way we do today if they didn't respond to God's call on their lives.

e) Use your ministry platform:
your ministry platform is the spiritual platform you are supposed to shine from.

Your Father Hears

Matthew 6:5,6 Prayer should be directed to the Father. Jesus showed this when He taught His disciples the Lord's prayer. It should be a great comfort to you to know that the creator and God of all hears you when you pray. This should encourage you to pray and keep praying. In our day to day relationships with people our communication will reduce towards those who don't pay attention when we're talking to them. The good thing about God is that He is never distracted. Know you have His attention when you pray . He can be communicated with. He hears, He created the ears. Psalm 94:9 Jesus encouraged prayer. Matthew 26:40 Jesus taught prayer. Luke 11:1,2 If Jesus prayed, you will need to pray. Why Should You Pray? *Pray because prayer brings God's intervention. Isaiah 38:5,6 *Pray because that's how you are authorized to communicate with God. 1 Thessalonians 15:16-18 *Pray because it is a major way of birthing God's will on earth. 1 Kings 18

Navigating A New Year

Isaiah  42:16 Our text passage above shows us God is the one who shows us the path to take and leads us in new directions. Your path matters to God. The way you you choose to take is important to God. Your steps are seen by God and ordered by God. Psalm 37:23 The year ahead of you matters to God too. Luke 13:8-9 Each year God has given you the grace to witness, experience, and journey through is another opportunity to be fruitful for God. God wants you to make the most of the year ahead of you to His glory. Human beings do not always know the way and path to go, we can be limited in wisdom. History shows we do not always make the best choices. The year ahead of us will require knowing the way to go, having the wisdom to make the best decisions and choices. Deuteronomy 30:19 To successfully navigate the year we need to stay in God.. To navigate is to find your way through, it is following the right path to a specific destination. The Importance Of The Anointing

Acts 10:38 The anointing is the presence of the Holy Spirit with a person. The anointing speaks, the anointing directs, and the anointing teaches people what they need to know and do. 1 John 2:27 You need the anointing. You can grow in the anointing. It is also possible to depart from the anointing. The anointing won't depart from you but you can depart from the anointing. You should remain in Him. It is worth it investing time to understand the your anointing, growing in your anointing and obeying the anointing. As you get to know a person better by spending time with them, so it is with the anointing in your life. With the anointing, you can't go wrong. The anointing strategically positions you in God's kingdom and in life. Jesus was full of the Holy Spirit. Colossians 2:9 Jesus had the anointing when He was here on earth. Jesus is our example of what our life can be when we have the anointing. Hebrews 12:2 Jesus knew His purpose. Luke 2:49 Jesus
