Defeating The Enemy

James 4:7, Matthew 4:1-11

The devil is real.
The devil is not a fictional character or the creation of someone's imagination.
The devil is no man's invention.
The devil is your enemy, and along with his team they are involved in a battle with God's camp.
Ephesians 6:12
If you are in Christ, you are a major target of the enemy.
Revelation 12:13 to 17

Winning in life and defeating the enemy is something we do by using our God given resources and weapons.
There are spiritual weapons God has given us, God has not left us without help.
John 14:18
God is able to protect us from the evil one.
 2 Thessalonians 3:3
It's important we know the 'tricks' the enemy uses to defeat people including some of the saints of God.

The enemy uses:
1) DECEPTION - the purpose of his deception is to murder, and he does this by lying.
2 Corinthians 11:13,  John 8:44

2) STEALING/THEFT - The devil steals the Words of God sown in our hearts, and he steals everything that can potentially be ours that way because God blesses us by His Word.
Matthew 13:19,  John 10:10

3) DIABOLIC EVIL - sorcery,  magic, witchcraft.
Exodus 7:11,12,  Matthew 24:24

4) TRAPS - the devil sets life and destiny destroying traps.
1 Timothy 3:7

5) MIND BLOCKAGE- 2 Timothy 2:26, 2 Corinthians 4:4

6) FAKE MIRACLES - Revelation 13:13,14

7) HUMAN AGENTS - 2 Timothy 3:13, Matthew 7:15

To overcome the evil one:
1) USE THE WORD OF GOD - the Word of God gives spiritual strength which helps us overcome Satan. 1 John 2:13,14

2) BE SAVED/BORN AGAIN - salvation provides and  supplies God's protection and sustenance.
1 John 5:18

3) STAY ON GOD'S SIDE - It's one thing to start with God, it's another thing to remain with God.
You enjoy God's love when you're in God's camp which gives you dominion over your enemies.
Revelation 3:9

4) HOLY SPIRIT - The Holy Spirit guides. He can guide you out of the devils traps.
Isaiah 63:11-14
The Holy Spirit can fight for you and protect you.
Isaiah 59:19

5) YOUR SPIRITUAL ARMOUR - Ephesians 6:12-18

6) THE BLOOD OF JESUS - Revelation 12:11

7) THE NAME OF JESUS - Philippians 2:9-11

Prayer Points:
1) Satan, the blood of Jesus is against you. Begin to plead the blood. (Revelation 12:11)
2) Tell God to help you defeat the enemy in Jesus name. (John 14:13)
3) Let me be conscious of my spiritual armor and use it. (Ephesians 6:12-18)
4) By the grace of God, I overcome every agent of Satan against me. (Matthew 7:5)
5) Reject the lying wonders of Satan. (Revelations 13:13,14)
6) Set my mind free from every mental blockage. (2 Corinthians 4:4)
7) Let witchcraft and every evil work against me be destroyed. (Deuteronomy 18:10)
8) Restore, all the enemy has stolen from me. (Joel 2:25)

Your Father Hears

Matthew 6:5,6 Prayer should be directed to the Father. Jesus showed this when He taught His disciples the Lord's prayer. It should be a great comfort to you to know that the creator and God of all hears you when you pray. This should encourage you to pray and keep praying. In our day to day relationships with people our communication will reduce towards those who don't pay attention when we're talking to them. The good thing about God is that He is never distracted. Know you have His attention when you pray . He can be communicated with. He hears, He created the ears. Psalm 94:9 Jesus encouraged prayer. Matthew 26:40 Jesus taught prayer. Luke 11:1,2 If Jesus prayed, you will need to pray. Why Should You Pray? *Pray because prayer brings God's intervention. Isaiah 38:5,6 *Pray because that's how you are authorized to communicate with God. 1 Thessalonians 15:16-18 *Pray because it is a major way of birthing God's will on earth. 1 Kings 18

The Importance Of The Anointing

Acts 10:38 The anointing is the presence of the Holy Spirit with a person. The anointing speaks, the anointing directs, and the anointing teaches people what they need to know and do. 1 John 2:27 You need the anointing. You can grow in the anointing. It is also possible to depart from the anointing. The anointing won't depart from you but you can depart from the anointing. You should remain in Him. It is worth it investing time to understand the your anointing, growing in your anointing and obeying the anointing. As you get to know a person better by spending time with them, so it is with the anointing in your life. With the anointing, you can't go wrong. The anointing strategically positions you in God's kingdom and in life. Jesus was full of the Holy Spirit. Colossians 2:9 Jesus had the anointing when He was here on earth. Jesus is our example of what our life can be when we have the anointing. Hebrews 12:2 Jesus knew His purpose. Luke 2:49 Jesus

Navigating A New Year

Isaiah  42:16 Our text passage above shows us God is the one who shows us the path to take and leads us in new directions. Your path matters to God. The way you you choose to take is important to God. Your steps are seen by God and ordered by God. Psalm 37:23 The year ahead of you matters to God too. Luke 13:8-9 Each year God has given you the grace to witness, experience, and journey through is another opportunity to be fruitful for God. God wants you to make the most of the year ahead of you to His glory. Human beings do not always know the way and path to go, we can be limited in wisdom. History shows we do not always make the best choices. The year ahead of us will require knowing the way to go, having the wisdom to make the best decisions and choices. Deuteronomy 30:19 To successfully navigate the year we need to stay in God.. To navigate is to find your way through, it is following the right path to a specific destination. Car drivers either buy a GPS/Navigation device system or
