BLESSINGS, CURSES AND THE CROSS

Colossians 3:8
Romans 12:14
Romans 16:17- the doctrine of the cross and salvation.

1 Peter 2:24
The blessings of God are real, curses are as real as the blessing of God, and the cross of Jesus, which is symbolic of God's solution to the fall, sin and curses on humanity is also real.
Whether a person believes that God's blessing is real or not does not change the fact that blessings exist and those who are experiencing the blessing of God know it.
It's the same thing with curses. Whether you believe curses exist or not does not cange the fact that they exist and unfortunately have destroyed many lives.

Whether a person believes Jesus hung on the cross, died and rose againor not does not change the fact that it happened.
The impact of the life, death, burial and resurrection of Jesus is around for us to see and experience.
The coming of Jesus to earth divided time and changed spiritual practices.
A curse is the opposite of a blessing. Every curse has a reason and every curse has an entry point into an individual's life. Proverbs 26:2
Every blessing also has a root, an entry point and a reason. James 1:17
Blessings should ne natural to man while curses should be alien to man.
When God created the first human being God blessed him.
The first word Adam ever heard in his life was a word of blessing. Genesis 1:28

What is a blessing? A blessing is an empowerment from God to succeed.
Blessings increase us in one way or another.
True men of God bless, they do not curse.
Melchizedek blessed Abraham, and the Bible says Jesus is a priest after the order of Melchizedek.Hebrews 7:7, so Jesus is blessing you!
Blessings glorify God and benefit the recipient/receiver.
Blessings better our lives and upgrade us in this world.
Curses on the other hand are evil, they make life bitter and cause murmuring.
What is a curse? A curse is an utterance backed by evil.
A curse is an evil decree made with the intention of reducing you or destroying you.
Curses aim to make people malfunction.
Curses are released by words to make the target a shadow of what he or she should originally be.
Ephesians 4:29 makes us know curses cannot be God's will for your life.
When people use God's name tocurse another person, they are using the Lord's name in vain.
 Exodus 20:7
To curse is a wrong use of your ability to use words. Ephesians 5:4
A person who curses and seeks to destroy other people is not spiritual, neither is that person practising true religion. James 1:26
Sexual sin is one of the fastest ways a curse released against an individual can find access into that individual. Jeremiah 23:10
The world needs a blessing, the world needs people who will be mouthpieces for God to utter words of blessings on people not curses. The Bible says if any man is going to speak let Him speak as an oracle of God!1 Peter 4:11
The way of the curse is not the way of God. James 3:9-12
If you want to live a blessed life make sure you do not curse yourself unknowlingly. 1 Peter 3:10
It was sin that put the world in the state it is today, the sin of one couple  brought a curse on humanity. Genesis 3:17
We need to ask God to control our tongue. James 3:5-6
How do you reversea curse you know someone has issued against you?- Luke 6:28
To reverse curses, use the cross of Jesus Christ. Apply the power of the cross, this includes the blood of Jesus. Exodus 15:22-25
Galatians 3:13,14
Cursing one another is not what God expects of us- Romans 12:14
Why should you be blessed?
1. Jesus is a blessing to you through intercession- Romans 8:34
2. Jesus paid the price for your freedom from curses- Galatians 3:13,14
3. The blessing is God's original plan for man- Genesis 1:28
4. Jesus has restored the blessing and glory- Colossians 1:27
5. The blood of Jesus of Jesus tackles sin, sin is what gives access to curses. 1 John 1:7

How do we break curses?
a) Give your life to God. 1Peter 2:9
b) Declare God's blessings over your life. Proverbs 12:18
c) Use the resurrection power, it's available. Philipians 3:10
d) Seek the blessings in the minister God has assigned to you. Genesis 14:18-20
e) Spiritual knowledge will help you. 1 John 4:4
The cross of Jesus is the cure for curses. The cross is symbolic of resurrection power, life, wisdom, salvation, good newsand blessings to the believer. 1 Corinthians 1:18 and Romans 1:16

Your Father Hears

Matthew 6:5,6 Prayer should be directed to the Father. Jesus showed this when He taught His disciples the Lord's prayer. It should be a great comfort to you to know that the creator and God of all hears you when you pray. This should encourage you to pray and keep praying. In our day to day relationships with people our communication will reduce towards those who don't pay attention when we're talking to them. The good thing about God is that He is never distracted. Know you have His attention when you pray . He can be communicated with. He hears, He created the ears. Psalm 94:9 Jesus encouraged prayer. Matthew 26:40 Jesus taught prayer. Luke 11:1,2 If Jesus prayed, you will need to pray. Why Should You Pray? *Pray because prayer brings God's intervention. Isaiah 38:5,6 *Pray because that's how you are authorized to communicate with God. 1 Thessalonians 15:16-18 *Pray because it is a major way of birthing God's will on earth. 1 Kings 18

The Importance Of The Anointing

Acts 10:38 The anointing is the presence of the Holy Spirit with a person. The anointing speaks, the anointing directs, and the anointing teaches people what they need to know and do. 1 John 2:27 You need the anointing. You can grow in the anointing. It is also possible to depart from the anointing. The anointing won't depart from you but you can depart from the anointing. You should remain in Him. It is worth it investing time to understand the your anointing, growing in your anointing and obeying the anointing. As you get to know a person better by spending time with them, so it is with the anointing in your life. With the anointing, you can't go wrong. The anointing strategically positions you in God's kingdom and in life. Jesus was full of the Holy Spirit. Colossians 2:9 Jesus had the anointing when He was here on earth. Jesus is our example of what our life can be when we have the anointing. Hebrews 12:2 Jesus knew His purpose. Luke 2:49 Jesus

Navigating A New Year

Isaiah  42:16 Our text passage above shows us God is the one who shows us the path to take and leads us in new directions. Your path matters to God. The way you you choose to take is important to God. Your steps are seen by God and ordered by God. Psalm 37:23 The year ahead of you matters to God too. Luke 13:8-9 Each year God has given you the grace to witness, experience, and journey through is another opportunity to be fruitful for God. God wants you to make the most of the year ahead of you to His glory. Human beings do not always know the way and path to go, we can be limited in wisdom. History shows we do not always make the best choices. The year ahead of us will require knowing the way to go, having the wisdom to make the best decisions and choices. Deuteronomy 30:19 To successfully navigate the year we need to stay in God.. To navigate is to find your way through, it is following the right path to a specific destination. Car drivers either buy a GPS/Navigation device system or
