Exodus 15:22-26
Our text passage shows us bitter water turning to sweet water.
This happened through God's intervention through His prophet.
God can make your life sweet.
The application of the cross, the wisdom of God to our bitter situation converts that which is bitter to sweetness.
The tree or branch thrown into the bitter water represents the cross of Jesus Christ and the wisdom of God.
God specializes in making the bitter sweet.
It was what the ministry of Jesus Christ was all about.- turning the life and destiny of people from that which is bitter to that which is sweet.
Isaiah 61:1-7
We see similar experiences in other passages of the scripture where bitter scenarios came out of unpleasant experiences.
The blind receiving their sight is sweetness to the blind.
The lame walking is sweetness to the lame.
The demon possessed getting delivered is sweetness to the oppressed.
Those burdened and yoke laden being set free is sweetness to their lives.
When needs and wants are met and satisfied it is sweetness to the beneficiary.
That which is sweet is satisfying, fulfilling, inviting and causes joy.
Something sweet wants to come out of your challenges, difficulties and trials.
Something sweet wants to come out of your unfortunate experiences, your bitter life story and the unfair injustice you went through.
Samson was confronted by a young vibrant lion that would have torn an ordinary man into pieces.
Not only did Samson kill the lion, he got honey out of the lion.
He was also inspired with a riddle which contains truth for us today- "Out of the eater, something to eat; out of the strong, something sweet" (Judges 14:14)
Those negative experiences threatening to 'eat' you up can be converted to sweet experiences.
The spiritual warfare threatening to take you out can be won, overcome and made to yield the sweet spoils of war.
When there has been lack or poverty and supply and breakthrough comes that is sweetness to us.
When our hopes manifest, that is sweetness to our soul.
When we get answers to prayer that is sweetness to our soul.
When our fortunes are restored that is sweetness to our soul.
When our joy has been made full, that is sweetness to our soul.
When we eat the fruit of our labor that is sweetness to our soul.
When delay comes to an end, and our longing is fulfilled that is sweetness to our soul.
Proverbs 13:12
May God make your life sweet and give you something sweet.
