Be Encouraged

1 Thessalonians 5:11

The need for encouragement is a need common to humanity.

We all need encouragement from time to time, not because we are weaklings but because life's journey requires it.

Our  need for encouragement is one God has made provision for in His wisdom.

Through God's word we get encouragement.

When we begin to read about the love of God for us, we are encouraged through life's journey.

When we begin to understand the nature of God- His goodness, His loving kindness, His mercy and benevolence we are encouraged.

As we delve into the abilities of God from the pages of the scriptures, we are encouraged.

The word of God shows us God is able.

Ephesians 3:20

The word shows us God is dependable.

Numbers 23:19

The word shows us God is near us, He is of close proximity to us and can be reached.

Psalm 145:18

God is all knowing, He sees, He hears and very importantly He can take action.

Psalm 139:1-4

All these facts about God are truth, as we learn them through the scriptures we are encouraged.

The church is a place where we hear and learn about the things that matter to God- His relationship with us, His kingdom, His power, His glory, and what He has done for us.

Isaiah 2:3

A church gathering should be the home of Good News.

Isaiah 52:7

This is encouraging.

It is encouraging to us.

The church gathering is not just a place where we pray, although prayer is one of the primary things we do in a church.

Matthew 21:13

There is encouragement in prayer.

The church assembly is not just a place where we praise and worship, although worshipping God through praise and worship songs are things we should do and commonly do in church.

Acts 2:47

There is encouragement in praise and worship.

A church fellowship/meeting is a place where the called out ones receive encouragement.

A church community is not a place we should come to with ulterior motives, evil agendas, or to show off.

It should be a vibrant and loving atmosphere where there is love, where there is order, where there is decency, where every member feels like family and where we receive encouragement.

Ephesians 5:10, Colossians 3:16, 1 Corinthians 14:40

Its not a place where the Pastor/Minister comes to show off what he thinks is his superiority, powers or attire.

It should be a place where the minister of God over the assembly serves, teaches, and uses his platform to encourage the people, the people Jesus Christ paid a high price for with His life!

Acts 20:28

Your Father Hears

Matthew 6:5,6 Prayer should be directed to the Father. Jesus showed this when He taught His disciples the Lord's prayer. It should be a great comfort to you to know that the creator and God of all hears you when you pray. This should encourage you to pray and keep praying. In our day to day relationships with people our communication will reduce towards those who don't pay attention when we're talking to them. The good thing about God is that He is never distracted. Know you have His attention when you pray . He can be communicated with. He hears, He created the ears. Psalm 94:9 Jesus encouraged prayer. Matthew 26:40 Jesus taught prayer. Luke 11:1,2 If Jesus prayed, you will need to pray. Why Should You Pray? *Pray because prayer brings God's intervention. Isaiah 38:5,6 *Pray because that's how you are authorized to communicate with God. 1 Thessalonians 15:16-18 *Pray because it is a major way of birthing God's will on earth. 1 Kings 18...

Out Of The Ashes

Isaiah 61:3 Ashes are not seen as useful substances. Ashes are waste that's thrown away. Ashes are what is left after a substance is burnt out. Your life may seem like ashes right now but something good and beautiful can come out of it when it's given to God. You may feel like an ash yourself. You may be feeling burnt out from unpleasant experiences of the past, the previous week, the last Month , or the the last year and life's battles may have left you burnt out. Know that out of your ashes can come beauty! God is the one who gives us beauty for ashes. God can make you and your life beautiful! Don't make the ashes your permanent state. God can make your season of ashes work out into a season of glory for you. Romans 8:28 The phoenix is a mystical and fictional bird that burns out after living for about six centuries. After burning itself out it rises from it's ashes renewed, youthful and revitalized to live through another life cycle. Like the p...

Healing For Your Soul Wounds!

Your prosperity is linked to your soul. 3 John 2 Your soul is the decision making center of your life. God cares about the state of your soul. It is the will of God that your soul is preserved until the coming back of Jesus Christ. 1 Thessalonians 5:23 Your soul is made up of your will, your mind and your emotions. You need your will, your mind and your emotions to function properly and to be regarded as a well balanced human being. Your soul is valuable and the enemy wants it. Your soul is part of the reason you are saved and a part of God's kingdom. 2 Corinthians 4:3,4 We are spirits who have a soul and live in a body.
