Isaiah 33:22
Our text passage reveals the Lord our God is our lawgiver.
God is our Lawgiver, our Judge, our King.
In previous teachings we've considered the roles of God as our King and as our Judge.
In this teaching message we are looking into the position of God as our lawgiver.
God is our lawgiver means it's God we take our laws from.
God as our lawgiver means it's God who makes the laws we live by.
Laws are the required expectations for people or rules they have to follow that's backed up by an authority.
God as our lawgiver means His authority backs up the standard and rules He puts in place for us.
The beauty of God being our lawgiver is that His laws are for our benefit, His laws give life!
Psalm 119:93
God's laws are fair for God hates double standards and unjust weights.
Proverbs 20:23
The laws of God sets us free.
The laws of the Spirit is God's law.
This law is in Christ Jesus and it produces freedom by setting us free from the law of sin and death.
It is a life giving law we operate in through Jesus Christ by grace.
Romans 8:2
If God is our King, then He is our Judge for kings judge cases and make judgements.
If God is our King and Judge then He is our lawgiver for kings and judges make the law and whatever the king decrees it's authorized and backed up with power.
Ecclesiastes 8:4
The human legal system can fail you but the true king and judge who is your lawgiver will never fail you.
The court of heaven does not fail the saints as long as the saints do not fail themselves.
Daniel 7:26-28
In the court of heaven we win, it is where we can obtain mercy and mercy overrules in our favor, preventing judgement.
James 2:13
God is our lawgiver means God knows what's right, fair, just and true for each of us.
We can trust Him, His law and His process.
God as our King, Judge and Lawgiver means He has the final word concerning you.
The wish, intentions, thoughts and scheme of men against you must bow to the law, plan and intention of God for your life.
