The God Who Connects (2)

 Matthew 2:1-12

It was God who connected the Magi (wise men) to Jesus.

God did it in the most unusual way, He used a bright and glorious Star to lead the wise men (Magi) to where Jesus was over a two year journey.

God is not a usual god and He does unusual things.

That Jesus may be blessed the heaven led the wise men who had gifts for Jesus to where young Jesus was.

God can do anything to connect you to your blessing, and He can use anyone He chooses to bless you.

It was God who connected Ruth to Boaz for marriage through Naomi's guidance.

Ruth ended up marrying the richest and most eligible bachelor in the land through God's connection at work motivated by Naomi's instruction.

Ruth 3:1-18

Ruth was rewarded for her goodness to her mother in-law Naomi, and her decision to serve the true God alongside Naomi.

Ruth 1:16

It was God who connected Rebecca to Isaac by a divine orchestration that involved several players.

Genesis 24:1-67

God is the God who connects and He knows how to connect us to those who matter to us, He knows how to connect us to those who have a key role to play in our lives.

The wise men didn't know Jesus previously.

The wise men were not living in the same country and location as Jesus.

The wise men didn't owe Jesus anything.

Those wise men did not have to journey for about two years to be a blessing to Jesus, but they did.

It happened because God was at work, it happened because there was a purpose to it.

God is a God of purpose, in His purpose there is favor.

The wise men were to give gifts to Jesus which would be prophetic of the phases of Jesus's destiny and beneficial for the needs of Jesus.

Matthew 2:10,11

There are things you need for life and godliness which are in the hands of people who are necessary to your life but those people  haven't seen or located you yet.

God has given us everything we need for life and godliness, however He uses people to get those things across to us most times.

2 Peter 1:3

It was God who connected birds with meat and and bread in their mouth to the prophet Elijah to feed His prophet.

1 Kings 17:3,4

God used the wind to get meat (quails) across to the children of Israel at a time His people longed for meat.

Numbers 11:31

God can use human beings, the elements, and the whole of creation to get His blessings across to you.

An unusual instruction from Jesus connected Peter to the money he and Jesus needed to pay their temple tax.

Matthew 17:24-27

Be sensitive to those God is trying to bring into your life, they may not look like you, share your faith, speak your native language, or understand your culture, but they are people who have certain things in their possession or access to certain things God wants you to receive.

The God who connects is also the God who disconnects.

God in His love for you will remove or disconnect wrong people from your life.

King Herod tried to connect with baby Jesus for a sinister purpose but God ensured He missed Jesus, He was disconnected from Jesus.

Matthew 2:13-15

Navigating A New Year

Isaiah  42:16 Our text passage above shows us God is the one who shows us the path to take and leads us in new directions. Your path matters to God. The way you you choose to take is important to God. Your steps are seen by God and ordered by God. Psalm 37:23 The year ahead of you matters to God too. Luke 13:8-9 Each year God has given you the grace to witness, experience, and journey through is another opportunity to be fruitful for God. God wants you to make the most of the year ahead of you to His glory. Human beings do not always know the way and path to go, we can be limited in wisdom. History shows we do not always make the best choices. The year ahead of us will require knowing the way to go, having the wisdom to make the best decisions and choices. Deuteronomy 30:19 To successfully navigate the year we need to stay in God.. To navigate is to find your way through, it is following the right path to a specific destination. Your Father Hears

Matthew 6:5,6 Prayer should be directed to the Father. Jesus showed this when He taught His disciples the Lord's prayer. It should be a great comfort to you to know that the creator and God of all hears you when you pray. This should encourage you to pray and keep praying. In our day to day relationships with people our communication will reduce towards those who don't pay attention when we're talking to them. The good thing about God is that He is never distracted. Know you have His attention when you pray . He can be communicated with. He hears, He created the ears. Psalm 94:9 Jesus encouraged prayer. Matthew 26:40 Jesus taught prayer. Luke 11:1,2 If Jesus prayed, you will need to pray. Why Should You Pray? *Pray because prayer brings God's intervention. Isaiah 38:5,6 *Pray because that's how you are authorized to communicate with God. 1 Thessalonians 15:16-18 *Pray because it is a major way of birthing God's will on earth. 1 Kings 18

The Importance Of The Anointing

Acts 10:38 The anointing is the presence of the Holy Spirit with a person. The anointing speaks, the anointing directs, and the anointing teaches people what they need to know and do. 1 John 2:27 You need the anointing. You can grow in the anointing. It is also possible to depart from the anointing. The anointing won't depart from you but you can depart from the anointing. You should remain in Him. It is worth it investing time to understand the your anointing, growing in your anointing and obeying the anointing. As you get to know a person better by spending time with them, so it is with the anointing in your life. With the anointing, you can't go wrong. The anointing strategically positions you in God's kingdom and in life. Jesus was full of the Holy Spirit. Colossians 2:9 Jesus had the anointing when He was here on earth. Jesus is our example of what our life can be when we have the anointing. Hebrews 12:2 Jesus knew His purpose. Luke 2:49 Jesus
