Flow With The Spirit

 John 7:38

Our text passage reads about the living water that flows out of the heart/belly of the believer.

This living water is the Holy Spirit.

Certain words stand out in that text- heart, flow, and living water.

Our heart is very crucial to spiritual matters, even our salvation

Romans 10:9

The heart is likened to a storage unit, the things of life are stored in our hearts.

Information, facts, and memories we gather are stored in our hearts.

Proverbs 4:23

What we store in our heart determines what we can give the Holy Spirit to work with.

Store the word of God in your heart.

The Holy Spirit works with our hearts.

It is interesting to note many of the things used to describe the Holy Spirit are elements/creation  that move or can be made to move.

Anything that flows is not static, that which flows is that which moves.

Wind, oil, water, rivers, fire and a dove are some of the representations of the Holy Spirit in the Bible.

Let's explore them.

Wind- the direction of the wind can be determined and followed, we can flow with the wind.

John 3:8

Oil- oil can flow on the body and on the ground, it can flow in paths prepared for it.

Psalm 133:1

Water- water flows and can move. It can be run and it can be poured.

Joel 2:28

River- rivers are streams of water, they can flow/move and the direction of their movement can be seen and followed.

John 7:38

To flow with the Spirit is to move with the Holy Spirit, it is to be in tune with the Spirit and take steps as the Spirit directs.

Romans 8:14

Flowing with the Spirit requires hearing the Spirit, being aware of the Spirit, being willing to follow the Spirit's promptings and signals.

To flow with the Spirit is to do what God leads you to do from the word of God because the Holy Spirit does not operate contrary to the word. For this reason we should seek to understand the scriptures and fill our heart with it.

The Spirit is not limited to the scriptures but He won't go contrary to the scriptures.

The Holy Spirit moves, He works in dynamic ways, manifesting the good pleasure of our heavenly Father.

God is pouring out His Spirit on all flesh and using both young and old.

Acts 2:17

To flow with the Spirit is to cooperate with the Holy Ghost.

The Holy Spirit motivates, directs, guides, inspires, leads and prompts.

The living water flows out of our hearts in the form of joy, divine ideas, instructions, promptings, counsel, wisdom, knowledge, inspiration and spiritual gifts.

Navigating A New Year

Isaiah  42:16 Our text passage above shows us God is the one who shows us the path to take and leads us in new directions. Your path matters to God. The way you you choose to take is important to God. Your steps are seen by God and ordered by God. Psalm 37:23 The year ahead of you matters to God too. Luke 13:8-9 Each year God has given you the grace to witness, experience, and journey through is another opportunity to be fruitful for God. God wants you to make the most of the year ahead of you to His glory. Human beings do not always know the way and path to go, we can be limited in wisdom. History shows we do not always make the best choices. The year ahead of us will require knowing the way to go, having the wisdom to make the best decisions and choices. Deuteronomy 30:19 To successfully navigate the year we need to stay in God.. To navigate is to find your way through, it is following the right path to a specific destination. Your Father Hears

Matthew 6:5,6 Prayer should be directed to the Father. Jesus showed this when He taught His disciples the Lord's prayer. It should be a great comfort to you to know that the creator and God of all hears you when you pray. This should encourage you to pray and keep praying. In our day to day relationships with people our communication will reduce towards those who don't pay attention when we're talking to them. The good thing about God is that He is never distracted. Know you have His attention when you pray . He can be communicated with. He hears, He created the ears. Psalm 94:9 Jesus encouraged prayer. Matthew 26:40 Jesus taught prayer. Luke 11:1,2 If Jesus prayed, you will need to pray. Why Should You Pray? *Pray because prayer brings God's intervention. Isaiah 38:5,6 *Pray because that's how you are authorized to communicate with God. 1 Thessalonians 15:16-18 *Pray because it is a major way of birthing God's will on earth. 1 Kings 18

The Importance Of The Anointing

Acts 10:38 The anointing is the presence of the Holy Spirit with a person. The anointing speaks, the anointing directs, and the anointing teaches people what they need to know and do. 1 John 2:27 You need the anointing. You can grow in the anointing. It is also possible to depart from the anointing. The anointing won't depart from you but you can depart from the anointing. You should remain in Him. It is worth it investing time to understand the your anointing, growing in your anointing and obeying the anointing. As you get to know a person better by spending time with them, so it is with the anointing in your life. With the anointing, you can't go wrong. The anointing strategically positions you in God's kingdom and in life. Jesus was full of the Holy Spirit. Colossians 2:9 Jesus had the anointing when He was here on earth. Jesus is our example of what our life can be when we have the anointing. Hebrews 12:2 Jesus knew His purpose. Luke 2:49 Jesus
