Prayer: A Light In The Darkness

 Colossians 4:2

Prayer is of God.

The Spirit that inspires you to pray is the Spirit of God.

Romans 8:26

The Spirit of God is light, the kingdom of God is light, the children of God are light, the church of God is a city of light.

We are from a kingdom and camp of light.

Colossians 1:13

People of the kingdom pray, people of the light pray.

Prayer is light for everything we do in the kingdom is done in light.

1 Peter 2:9

When we pray according to God's will we are piercing the darkness spiritually.

Prayer helps us push back the darkness.

Prayer brings us before God, in God's presence we draw grace from the One who sits on the throne of grace.

Your prayer time is your audience with God.

Don't joke with your personal prayer time, spend quality time with God through prayer.

God is Light, prayer brings us before the Light.

When we come before the Light, light rubs off on us.

In God who is Light we receive light to function in the darkness of this world.

Hebrews 4:16

Prayer strengthens us in Light.

Prayer brings us before His Grace and we receive the grace to function in this dysfunctional world.

A lot of the challenges, trials, hardships we face are as a result of the fallen state of this world and the darkness that permeates this world.

As light is the answer to darkness, prayer is the answer to trouble and affliction.

James 5:13

Challenges and difficulties are not strange, they'll come.

1 Peter 4:12,13

Difficulties dissipate in the place of prayer.

People overtaken with difficulties and overwhelmed by challenges are often people who don't spend quality time in the place of prayer with God.

The grace and the help of God is available.

We have no excuse or reason to give up.

Proverbs 24:10

Challenges are not meant to break us or defeat us.

Challenges are not meant to overcome or overwhelm us.

Challenges and difficulties should help us build our spiritual strength, develop our spiritual muscles, and act as stepping stones for us to move to higher heights and greater glories.

After the challenges Jesus Christ went through and overcame- beatings, scourge, shame, being pierced with a spear, the crucifixion, and death. Jesus overcame all of those with the resurrection and ascending to God's right hand side.

That's the greatest honor.

In something of a similar way we are meant to overcome our trials and challenges.

Hebrews 12:2

Navigating A New Year

Isaiah  42:16 Our text passage above shows us God is the one who shows us the path to take and leads us in new directions. Your path matters to God. The way you you choose to take is important to God. Your steps are seen by God and ordered by God. Psalm 37:23 The year ahead of you matters to God too. Luke 13:8-9 Each year God has given you the grace to witness, experience, and journey through is another opportunity to be fruitful for God. God wants you to make the most of the year ahead of you to His glory. Human beings do not always know the way and path to go, we can be limited in wisdom. History shows we do not always make the best choices. The year ahead of us will require knowing the way to go, having the wisdom to make the best decisions and choices. Deuteronomy 30:19 To successfully navigate the year we need to stay in God.. To navigate is to find your way through, it is following the right path to a specific destination. Car drivers either buy a GPS/Navigation device system or

Your Father Hears

Matthew 6:5,6 Prayer should be directed to the Father. Jesus showed this when He taught His disciples the Lord's prayer. It should be a great comfort to you to know that the creator and God of all hears you when you pray. This should encourage you to pray and keep praying. In our day to day relationships with people our communication will reduce towards those who don't pay attention when we're talking to them. The good thing about God is that He is never distracted. Know you have His attention when you pray . He can be communicated with. He hears, He created the ears. Psalm 94:9 Jesus encouraged prayer. Matthew 26:40 Jesus taught prayer. Luke 11:1,2 If Jesus prayed, you will need to pray. Why Should You Pray? *Pray because prayer brings God's intervention. Isaiah 38:5,6 *Pray because that's how you are authorized to communicate with God. 1 Thessalonians 15:16-18 *Pray because it is a major way of birthing God's will on earth. 1 Kings 18

The Importance Of The Anointing

Acts 10:38 The anointing is the presence of the Holy Spirit with a person. The anointing speaks, the anointing directs, and the anointing teaches people what they need to know and do. 1 John 2:27 You need the anointing. You can grow in the anointing. It is also possible to depart from the anointing. The anointing won't depart from you but you can depart from the anointing. You should remain in Him. It is worth it investing time to understand the your anointing, growing in your anointing and obeying the anointing. As you get to know a person better by spending time with them, so it is with the anointing in your life. With the anointing, you can't go wrong. The anointing strategically positions you in God's kingdom and in life. Jesus was full of the Holy Spirit. Colossians 2:9 Jesus had the anointing when He was here on earth. Jesus is our example of what our life can be when we have the anointing. Hebrews 12:2 Jesus knew His purpose. Luke 2:49 Jesus
