Hebrews 3:7,8
Flowing with the Spirit is not merely a common sense affair, there is nothing common about it.
Most people are not flowing with the Spirit.
Most are not in tune with the Spirit.
It is far from common.
It is not an intellectual affair, it is a Spirit affair that requires sensitivity to the Holy Spirit, confidence in knowing the Holy Spirit communicates and being aware of the presence of the Holy Spirit in your life.
To flow with the Spirit of God is to have a heart that picks up the Spirit's inspiration and direction.
A circumcised heart will do so.
Romans 2:28,29
The enemy wants us to have hardened hearts so that we will not be sensitive to the Spirit.
A hardened heart is a heart of stone.
It is a heart the Spirit cannot work with, it is a heart the Spirit cannot use or communicate with.
God is willing to work on our hearts if we allow Him.
Ezekiel 36:26,27
A heart of flesh is the type heart God wants us to have.
It is the kind of heart that can receive from the Lord, it is a heart the Spirit can work with.
A heart of flesh is a circumcised heart.
God is the Spirit, He is the Lord.
2 Corinthians 3:17
Jesus, while on earth as a man flowed with the Spirit by doing whatever He saw His Father do and obeying whatever He heard is His Father say.
Jesus saw and heard in the spirit.
John 5:19
John 14:31
We flow in the Spirit when we see in the spirit.
We flow in the Spirit when we hear in the spirit.
We flow with the Spirit when we obey what we see and hear from the Spirit.
A circumcised heart helps us to see and hear in the Spirit realm.
A circumcised heart helps us to be more aware of the Holy Spirit's presence and communication in our life.
Our heart is important to our Spirit walk.
The understanding within the believer is associated with ''eyes'' and ''heart''
Ephesians 1:18
To flow with the Spirit follow the instructions and inspiration the Spirit gives you.
If we are disobedient to the first instruction we receive or perceive from the Spirit , why should the Spirit of God give us a second instruction?
God is merciful and graceful, He is the God of the second chance.
If we have the habit of ignoring what we sense God is telling us, why should He keep talking to us?
Take baby steps for a start.
No matter how simple or little what God prompts you to do is, do it.
As you obey He will instruct and prompt you to take certain steps more.
As you get into the rhythm of obeying God you will find yourself flowing with the Spirit.
