The Criteria For Leadership

Deuteronomy 1:13

Wisdom, understanding and knowledge are the necessary requirements for leadership in any area of life.
God provides direction through leadership.
We are all leaders in one capacity or another.
We all lead in one capacity or another.

Leadership is very important because the leader determines the direction their followers will go.
A leader provides direction.
The direction a company, a church, a ministry, a marriage or a family will take is determined by the leader.
A President is the leader of a nation. The Presidents ideas or policies will determine the direction of that nation.
God is a leader, so He provides direction.
He is a leader, so He shepherds.
God leads us in wisdom.
Wisdom and skill are linked. Ecclesiastes 10:10

To enjoy the direction of a leader, you have to submit to the leadership of the leader.
If we want God's direction this Month and beyond we must be ready to submit to His leadership.
James 4:7

Leadership is one of the ways God provides direction.
He sets up leadership structures or hierarchy.
In heaven, there is a leadership structure.
Among angels, there is leadership.

Lucifer was a leader to Archangel Michael and a host of other angels before his fall.
The Archangel Michael is a leader of a warrior group of angels.
Jesus is King and leader of all the angels.
The structure is there, that's why there is peace in heaven.
Where there is good leadership and structure in place there will be peace and progress.

When people rebel against their God appointed leaders there is chaos and division.
Jesus said "a house divided against itself cannot stand".
Lucifer had to be thrown out of heaven for order and peace to continue in heaven.

There are consequences when we don't follow leadership:
1) We break God's law. Luke 10:16
2) There will be no peace. Luke 13:34,35
3) There will be no direction and protection. Luke 13:35
4) Our joy departs. Hebrews 13:7
5) We miss out on provision. Psalm 105:17-22
6) Our lives won't reflect God's best for us. 2 Chronicles 26:5

When we embrace God given leadership:
1) There is direction. Exodus 14
2) There will be peace. Psalm 23:2
3) We please God. Ephesians 6:2-4
4) There is provision. 2 Chronicles 20:20
5) We follow God's plan for our lives. 2 Kings 3:11
6) We receive praise & commendation. Romans 13:3

Leadership is very pertinent.
It's our responsibility to develop our leadership skills and abilities. Psalm 78:72

Your Father Hears

Matthew 6:5,6 Prayer should be directed to the Father. Jesus showed this when He taught His disciples the Lord's prayer. It should be a great comfort to you to know that the creator and God of all hears you when you pray. This should encourage you to pray and keep praying. In our day to day relationships with people our communication will reduce towards those who don't pay attention when we're talking to them. The good thing about God is that He is never distracted. Know you have His attention when you pray . He can be communicated with. He hears, He created the ears. Psalm 94:9 Jesus encouraged prayer. Matthew 26:40 Jesus taught prayer. Luke 11:1,2 If Jesus prayed, you will need to pray. Why Should You Pray? *Pray because prayer brings God's intervention. Isaiah 38:5,6 *Pray because that's how you are authorized to communicate with God. 1 Thessalonians 15:16-18 *Pray because it is a major way of birthing God's will on earth. 1 Kings 18

The Importance Of The Anointing

Acts 10:38 The anointing is the presence of the Holy Spirit with a person. The anointing speaks, the anointing directs, and the anointing teaches people what they need to know and do. 1 John 2:27 You need the anointing. You can grow in the anointing. It is also possible to depart from the anointing. The anointing won't depart from you but you can depart from the anointing. You should remain in Him. It is worth it investing time to understand the your anointing, growing in your anointing and obeying the anointing. As you get to know a person better by spending time with them, so it is with the anointing in your life. With the anointing, you can't go wrong. The anointing strategically positions you in God's kingdom and in life. Jesus was full of the Holy Spirit. Colossians 2:9 Jesus had the anointing when He was here on earth. Jesus is our example of what our life can be when we have the anointing. Hebrews 12:2 Jesus knew His purpose. Luke 2:49 Jesus

Navigating A New Year

Isaiah  42:16 Our text passage above shows us God is the one who shows us the path to take and leads us in new directions. Your path matters to God. The way you you choose to take is important to God. Your steps are seen by God and ordered by God. Psalm 37:23 The year ahead of you matters to God too. Luke 13:8-9 Each year God has given you the grace to witness, experience, and journey through is another opportunity to be fruitful for God. God wants you to make the most of the year ahead of you to His glory. Human beings do not always know the way and path to go, we can be limited in wisdom. History shows we do not always make the best choices. The year ahead of us will require knowing the way to go, having the wisdom to make the best decisions and choices. Deuteronomy 30:19 To successfully navigate the year we need to stay in God.. To navigate is to find your way through, it is following the right path to a specific destination. Car drivers either buy a GPS/Navigation device system or
