THE COMPASS OF LIFE.

Psalm 5:8
Psalm 27:11

The Satnav or G.P.S is a modern day compass.
The G.P.S is a useful and intelligent device.
It is an invention that's very clever and has helped us greatly, especially with regards to transportation.
It helps us get from where we are to where we want to go.

We need to get to our dreams, our purpose, our positions and our place in destiny.
This calls for direction!

Life is a journey.
Life is a long journey that has many twists and turns, because of this you will need direction.
God your Father who is the Spirit knows you need direction in life.
He hasn't left you to yourself.
He has provided direction for you in the person of the Holy Spirit.
He has made direction available to you through His Word.
God wants to direct you.

The Holy Spirit is the compass of life.
You can also liken the Holy Spirit to the satellite our phone maps and Satnav devices are connected to by a specially made software.
The Bible can be likened to our Satnav device.
The Holy Spirit is the Spirit behind the Bible, the same way the satellite in space is the signal operating with our devices showing us the way to go.
On the pages of God's Word you can find direction.

Why Do You Need Direction?

a) The path we think is right for us is not usually the right path. Proverbs 14:12

b) You didn't create the world and you don't see what is ahead. Proverbs 3:5,6

c) Human beings are not created to be independent of God. Genesis 3:8

d) God has an inheritance for you. You need His direction to get to  it. Exodus 23:20

e) You need direction to locate and fulfill your purpose. Psalm 23:3

f) God's direction leads to His provision. Psalm 23:1

g) God's direction shows you are His. Romans 8:14

How does God direct?

* By His Spirit. Romans 8:14

* By His Word. Psalm 119:105

* He can guide through His anointed servants. Luke 16:31, Acts 16:17

* He can use circumstances to bring about His will. Matthew 26:52-54, Matthew 27:1

* He can direct through dreams. Matthew 1:20

* He can speak audibly. Revelation 3:22, John 12:28

* He can speak quietly to your heart. 1 Kings 19:11-13

* He can give you peace on a matter. Peace is one of the ways He guides and speaks. Psalm 23:2, John 14:27

Your Father Hears

Matthew 6:5,6 Prayer should be directed to the Father. Jesus showed this when He taught His disciples the Lord's prayer. It should be a great comfort to you to know that the creator and God of all hears you when you pray. This should encourage you to pray and keep praying. In our day to day relationships with people our communication will reduce towards those who don't pay attention when we're talking to them. The good thing about God is that He is never distracted. Know you have His attention when you pray . He can be communicated with. He hears, He created the ears. Psalm 94:9 Jesus encouraged prayer. Matthew 26:40 Jesus taught prayer. Luke 11:1,2 If Jesus prayed, you will need to pray. Why Should You Pray? *Pray because prayer brings God's intervention. Isaiah 38:5,6 *Pray because that's how you are authorized to communicate with God. 1 Thessalonians 15:16-18 *Pray because it is a major way of birthing God's will on earth. 1 Kings 18

Navigating A New Year

Isaiah  42:16 Our text passage above shows us God is the one who shows us the path to take and leads us in new directions. Your path matters to God. The way you you choose to take is important to God. Your steps are seen by God and ordered by God. Psalm 37:23 The year ahead of you matters to God too. Luke 13:8-9 Each year God has given you the grace to witness, experience, and journey through is another opportunity to be fruitful for God. God wants you to make the most of the year ahead of you to His glory. Human beings do not always know the way and path to go, we can be limited in wisdom. History shows we do not always make the best choices. The year ahead of us will require knowing the way to go, having the wisdom to make the best decisions and choices. Deuteronomy 30:19 To successfully navigate the year we need to stay in God.. To navigate is to find your way through, it is following the right path to a specific destination. The Importance Of The Anointing

Acts 10:38 The anointing is the presence of the Holy Spirit with a person. The anointing speaks, the anointing directs, and the anointing teaches people what they need to know and do. 1 John 2:27 You need the anointing. You can grow in the anointing. It is also possible to depart from the anointing. The anointing won't depart from you but you can depart from the anointing. You should remain in Him. It is worth it investing time to understand the your anointing, growing in your anointing and obeying the anointing. As you get to know a person better by spending time with them, so it is with the anointing in your life. With the anointing, you can't go wrong. The anointing strategically positions you in God's kingdom and in life. Jesus was full of the Holy Spirit. Colossians 2:9 Jesus had the anointing when He was here on earth. Jesus is our example of what our life can be when we have the anointing. Hebrews 12:2 Jesus knew His purpose. Luke 2:49 Jesus
