IGNORANT, WRONG VIEWS ABOUT MONEY

Texts: Matthew 22:29

Whether we are aware of it or not, money plays an important part in today's world.
As long as you have not departed from this world yet you will have to handle money and have views about money and financial prosperity.

Why financial prosperity?
a) Your financial prosperity matters because 80% of human challenges are financial related.
b) Your financial prosperity matters because over 80% of divorces are financial related.
c) You need finances to live a dignified life and pay your bills. Even our Lord showed us we have to pay the bills when they come. Matthew 17:24-27
d) Parents have a responsibility to provide for their households. Money is needed for that.
1 Timothy 5:8
e) The prosperity message was part of Jesus's gospel to the poor. Isaiah 61:1
f) Money is needed by church assemblies, missionaries and ministers to advance the gospel. Zechariah 1:17
g) Money is a need in today's world and is the reason people go to work. If you don't want it, then why work hard for it? It shows money matters. Philippians 4:19

We repel or attract money into our lives depending on the state of our minds. Proverbs 23:7
So this message is being shared to correct wrong views in our conscious and subconscious mind about prosperity that's financial. Joshua 1:8

If we see money as a spiritual hindrance it will move away from us.

Wrong views about money-
1) Money Is The Root Of All Evil- 1 Timothy 6:10
2) Money can take us to hell- Luke 16:19-31
3) Money making is greed- Proverbs 28:6, Exodus 20:17, Proverbs 11:28, Proverbs 22:1
4) Having money causes pride- Acts 20:33
5) Poverty is Jesus's instruction- Blessed are the poor in spirit. Matthew 5:3- Some people interpret this scripture to mean it's only those who are poor that will make the kingdom of heaven.

These views are largely the result of an ignorance of God's Word.

How should God's People View Money?
1) See money as an opportunity to be a blessing to the poor. Proverbs 19:17, Acts 20:35, Luke 3:11,
 Luke 6:38
2) See money as an opportunity to advance the gospel. Luke 8:1-3
3) See money as a blessing from God to you. Proverbs 10:22
4) See money as a chance to live a dignified and godly life. 2 Peter 1:3
5) See money as your chance to fulfill prophecy by helping to spread God's cities abroad.
 Zechariah 1:17
6) Money is a resource that can help you better the coming generation. Proverbs 13:22
7) Money can be your testimony of what God can do. Revelation 19:10
8) See financial prosperity as God fulfilling His covenant with you. Deuteronomy 8:18

Your Father Hears

Matthew 6:5,6 Prayer should be directed to the Father. Jesus showed this when He taught His disciples the Lord's prayer. It should be a great comfort to you to know that the creator and God of all hears you when you pray. This should encourage you to pray and keep praying. In our day to day relationships with people our communication will reduce towards those who don't pay attention when we're talking to them. The good thing about God is that He is never distracted. Know you have His attention when you pray . He can be communicated with. He hears, He created the ears. Psalm 94:9 Jesus encouraged prayer. Matthew 26:40 Jesus taught prayer. Luke 11:1,2 If Jesus prayed, you will need to pray. Why Should You Pray? *Pray because prayer brings God's intervention. Isaiah 38:5,6 *Pray because that's how you are authorized to communicate with God. 1 Thessalonians 15:16-18 *Pray because it is a major way of birthing God's will on earth. 1 Kings 18

Navigating A New Year

Isaiah  42:16 Our text passage above shows us God is the one who shows us the path to take and leads us in new directions. Your path matters to God. The way you you choose to take is important to God. Your steps are seen by God and ordered by God. Psalm 37:23 The year ahead of you matters to God too. Luke 13:8-9 Each year God has given you the grace to witness, experience, and journey through is another opportunity to be fruitful for God. God wants you to make the most of the year ahead of you to His glory. Human beings do not always know the way and path to go, we can be limited in wisdom. History shows we do not always make the best choices. The year ahead of us will require knowing the way to go, having the wisdom to make the best decisions and choices. Deuteronomy 30:19 To successfully navigate the year we need to stay in God.. To navigate is to find your way through, it is following the right path to a specific destination. The Importance Of The Anointing

Acts 10:38 The anointing is the presence of the Holy Spirit with a person. The anointing speaks, the anointing directs, and the anointing teaches people what they need to know and do. 1 John 2:27 You need the anointing. You can grow in the anointing. It is also possible to depart from the anointing. The anointing won't depart from you but you can depart from the anointing. You should remain in Him. It is worth it investing time to understand the your anointing, growing in your anointing and obeying the anointing. As you get to know a person better by spending time with them, so it is with the anointing in your life. With the anointing, you can't go wrong. The anointing strategically positions you in God's kingdom and in life. Jesus was full of the Holy Spirit. Colossians 2:9 Jesus had the anointing when He was here on earth. Jesus is our example of what our life can be when we have the anointing. Hebrews 12:2 Jesus knew His purpose. Luke 2:49 Jesus
