Matthew 13:44
Our text passage highlights the value of God's kingdom.
It likens the kingdom of God unto a treasure.
This automatically shows us God's kingdom should be our topmost priority.
It also shows us the value God expects us to place on His kingdom.
If God expects us to value His kingdom it is because His kingdom is His own priority.
A treasure is a valuable item or wealth, it is a store or collection of precious metals, gems, money, or artifacts such as buried gold or ancient relics.
Anyone who finds treasure has hit a financial jackpot or windfall.
The kingdom of God is the treasure of Christianity.
The kingdom of God is the treasure of God.
The kingdom of God is also a treasure God puts in His people, those who have His seal on their lives, those who are saved through Jesus Christ.
2 Corinthians 4:7
A person can also be a treasure, a highly priced thing or person is a treasure.
Jesus is God's greatest treasure!
John 3:16
The kingdom is so valuable because it is the kingdom of Jesus Christ the Son of God the Father!
Colossians 1:13
When you find a field (Pastor, teacher, ministry, church, individual) who teaches the kingdom of God, who introduces you to the kingdom of God, who prioritizes the kingdom message, value it.
Not every field has treasures.
When we search for gold and silver here on earth or natural resources, we do not find them in every part of the earth, we don't find them in every ground, every country or every land.
But the land or ground where gold, diamonds, precious stones and natural resources are found, automatically become valuable.
Some fields are more valuable than the other.
Not every "field" has the treasure of the kingdom of God within it.
It is God who leads us to where the treasure of God's kingdom is.
When we find the field- person, people, ministry, church, assembly where the kingdom of God is taught and emphasized it is our responsibility to recognize it.
The beautiful thing about the individual in our text passage is that when he found the field with the treasure in it, he recognized the value of the treasure, he hid it back in the ground/field and went off to make arrangements for the purchase of the field.
He bought the entire field because of one treasure.
The kingdom of God makes the entire field (ministry/individual/church/doctrine valuable).
The kingdom of God is the great prize, the pearl, the treasure of Christianity.
The kingdom of God is the inheritance we get in God.
Luke 12:32
The kingdom of God is what Jesus came teaching about, not prosperity, hell, demons, dressing, prayer or fasting. Although all those topics matter.
Mark 1:14-15
The message of the kingdom was so important God sent one of His choicest prophets to bring the message of the kingdom to the earth, he was the forerunner of Jesus Christ, his name is John the Baptist.
Matthew 3:1-3
Jesus taught many parables about the kingdom of God.
He shared 12 to 13 parables in total about the kingdom of God as documented in the Bible.
The kingdom of God changes your identity, it changes your self esteem, your view and opinion about yourself.
The kingdom within you is evidence you are God's heir, a join heir with Christ Jesus!
The Lord encourages us to value and prioritize the kingdom of God.
