Unlikely People, Unlikely Weapons

 1 Corinthians 1: 26-30

The people who God uses to showcase His glory are often those who we do not think or imagine He would use, God uses unlikely people.

The weapons God uses to bring us victory are not weapons man would often depend on for victory or protection, they are unlikely weapons.

God uses the foolish things of this world to confound the wise, the base things of the world to silence the mighty that no one may boast before Him.

Through Samson He used the jawbone of a donkey to bring victory against the Philistines.

The jawbone was a dried, discarded, hard piece on the floor.

It was useless in many peoples eyes, it was as worthless as garbage, it had probably gathered a lot of dust due to being on the floor for so long and no one picked it up or gave it any attention because it wasn't seen as useful or valuable.

The same jawbone many ignored became an unlikely weapon in Samson's hands, it was a lethal weapon Samson used to kill 1,000 Philistines in a single battle.

Judges 15:15,16

Through David God used the sling and stone to bring victory against Goliath.

The sling and stone was an unlikely weapon, it was a lethal weapon in David's hand which brough down the giant that had paralyzed the king of Israel and his army on the battlefield for 40 days.

It wasn't the kind of weapon anyone thought Goliath would be killed with.

David the shepherd boy was an unlikely person, he wasn't a son his father thought was worthy of being king or receiving the holy oil of God.

Through the left hand of Ehud, God brought victory against the Moabites.

Judges 3

Through the weapons of our warfare that are not carnal, God is bringing forth victories today by His saints and His church on earth.

2 Corinthians 10:4

The rod of Moses was an unlikely weapon that God used to bring His people deliverance by the efforts of Moses.

Exodus 4:2-5, Exodus 14:16, Exodus 17:5,

Something in your hand, something within your reach,  something in your home and something within you can become an unlikely weapon God will use to bring you victory by God's direction.

An unlikely weapon is a thing God will use to bring you victory over an enemy or enemies which others don't recognize or which others despise.

An unlikely person or people are those who were not qualified by men or seen as worthy enough of what God gave them or deserving of where God placed them.

Luke 4:22, John 6:42

Heroes of the Bible were unlikely people or vessels.

Joseph was a slave in Egypt.

David was young and a shepherd.

Moses was a murderer in hiding.

Jesus was a carpenters son and he was born in a manger.

Abraham was childless and elderly.

Jacob was a deceiver and liar.

Daniel and his three Hebrew friends were captives.

Despite this, God saw something in all of them, He qualified them for His blessing and making of history.

Don't count yourself out, God is faithful!

Your Father Hears

Matthew 6:5,6 Prayer should be directed to the Father. Jesus showed this when He taught His disciples the Lord's prayer. It should be a great comfort to you to know that the creator and God of all hears you when you pray. This should encourage you to pray and keep praying. In our day to day relationships with people our communication will reduce towards those who don't pay attention when we're talking to them. The good thing about God is that He is never distracted. Know you have His attention when you pray . He can be communicated with. He hears, He created the ears. Psalm 94:9 Jesus encouraged prayer. Matthew 26:40 Jesus taught prayer. Luke 11:1,2 If Jesus prayed, you will need to pray. Why Should You Pray? *Pray because prayer brings God's intervention. Isaiah 38:5,6 *Pray because that's how you are authorized to communicate with God. 1 Thessalonians 15:16-18 *Pray because it is a major way of birthing God's will on earth. 1 Kings 18...

Out Of The Ashes

Isaiah 61:3 Ashes are not seen as useful substances. Ashes are waste that's thrown away. Ashes are what is left after a substance is burnt out. Your life may seem like ashes right now but something good and beautiful can come out of it when it's given to God. You may feel like an ash yourself. You may be feeling burnt out from unpleasant experiences of the past, the previous week, the last Month , or the the last year and life's battles may have left you burnt out. Know that out of your ashes can come beauty! God is the one who gives us beauty for ashes. God can make you and your life beautiful! Don't make the ashes your permanent state. God can make your season of ashes work out into a season of glory for you. Romans 8:28 The phoenix is a mystical and fictional bird that burns out after living for about six centuries. After burning itself out it rises from it's ashes renewed, youthful and revitalized to live through another life cycle. Like the p...
