Judges 15:1-5
There are lessons/parallels we can gather from the 300 foxes Samson released into the Philistine fields after setting them on fire, as seen in our text message.
Samson's wife had been given to another man while he was away shortly after they got married, she was given to a Philistine man who played the role of best man/friend to Samson on his wedding day.
This was done by Samson's father under Philistine influence so as to spite Samson, since Samson had taken a wife from the Philistines, the enemy camp.
The foxes Samson used to get vengeance on the Philistines are an example of how we should be for God.
The foxes were used as weapons by Samson.
You should be a weapon in the hands of your creator.
Jeremiah 51:20
The foxes were alive when Samson used them, dead foxes would be of no use to Samson.
God has kept you alive so that you will be useful to Him.
Psalm 30:9
The foxes Samson used to destroy the farmlands of the Philistines were lit with fire.
It is God's will that we are lit with the fire of the Holy Spirit.
Acts 2:1-3
As the foxes ran through and across the vineyards and farmlands of the Philistines, they left trails of fire across the length and breadth of the fields.
God expects us to make an impact of divine fire for Him, spreading His light and fire everywhere we go.
Matthew 3:11
As the foxes on fire ran helter-skelter across the Philistine fields, destruction came upon the harvest of the Philistines.
It is God's will that the purpose and ministry of Jesus Christ is continued through us, which is destroying the works of the enemy wherever we are.
1 John 3:8
The foxes were lit and tied in two's, just as Jesus sent out His disciples in twos and Noah had two of every animal come into the ark.
Mark 6:7
Two is the number of witness.
Psalm 62:11
Two is the number of multiplications, procreation, and reproduction.
Genesis 1:28
Two is the number of agreement.
Matthew 18:19
It takes two to make a greater impact.
Deuteronomy 32:30
As the Philistines looked at their fields at night from their elevated positions- their mountain top homes, the top of their walls, and their castle, they could see trails of moving, 'living' fire speeding across the harvest fields as the foxes ran.
When heaven looks down on us on earth, God should see beautiful trails of divine fire across the length and breadth of the world left behind by His children and trailing each of His children wherever they go.
This is supernatural fire, spiritual fire with physical impact.
It is living fire, the Pentecostal fire of the Holy Spirit!
