On The Wings Of The Eagle

 Exodus 19:4

God used the illustration of the eagle to explain how He upheld the Israelites as they journeyed out of Egypt.

Deuteronomy 32:9-11

The eagle is a remarkable bird, it is the only bird God identifies with in the scriptures.

There are other birds mentioned in the scriptures- the raven, the pelican, the vulture, the owl, the ostrich, the rooster, and the sparrow.

It's only in the eagle God finds qualities that are worthy enough to associate with His being.

Four living creatures from the presence of God were seen by Ezekiel the priest in a vision and they had four faces each, the face of an eagle was one of the four faces.

Ezekiel 1:4-10

The eagle is a big bird who has a very wide wingspan.

The eagle is also a very smart bird who knows how to use the large wings it has effectively.

Just like the eagle, we have a responsibility to use what God has given us in smart and effective ways- our time, gifts, talents, abilities, and treasures.

The wings of the eagle acts as a shade for the young eaglets of the eagle, it serves as a place of protection and comfort.

Jesus is our great eagle, under whose wings we are comforted and protected.

The secret place is where we receive the secrets of God- revelation, ideas, insights, strategies and wisdom.

Psalm 91:1

The secret place is under the wings of Christ, we come there in the place of prayer.

Psalm 91:4

The wing of the eagle is used for flight.

God wants us to ride on the wings of Jesus the Christ, our great eagle.

On the wings of the eagle, we are taken to the heights.

Isaiah 40:31

To ride on the wings of the eagle is to flow with the Spirit.

The children of Israel rose on the wings of the great eagle because they followed a leader who was in tune with the Spirit of God.

Moses heard God and obeyed God, in doing so, he led God's people in the way God wanted them to go, overcoming enemies, rival nations, the elements, the desert, the red sea, Pharaoh and the armies of Egypt.

Acts 7:30-37

On the wings of the eagle, we are trained and developed.

Eaglets are trained to be strong on the wings of their parents.

Eaglets are trained to fly on the wings of the parent eagle by being flown to great heights on the wings of their parents and dropped so as to flap their own wings and learn to fly.

Eaglets are saved on the wings of the eagle, when they fall, they are rescued by the parent eagle because the parent eagle can fly.

They can fly because they have wings.

The child of God is trained on the wings of the Spirit, rescued on the wings of the Spirit, and flies by the wings of the Spirit.

John 14:20

The eagle uses the wind, air currents to soar and fly without much effort to remarkable heights.

In the same manner, the believer soars on the wind and currents of God's Spirit.

John 3:8

Your Father Hears

Matthew 6:5,6 Prayer should be directed to the Father. Jesus showed this when He taught His disciples the Lord's prayer. It should be a great comfort to you to know that the creator and God of all hears you when you pray. This should encourage you to pray and keep praying. In our day to day relationships with people our communication will reduce towards those who don't pay attention when we're talking to them. The good thing about God is that He is never distracted. Know you have His attention when you pray . He can be communicated with. He hears, He created the ears. Psalm 94:9 Jesus encouraged prayer. Matthew 26:40 Jesus taught prayer. Luke 11:1,2 If Jesus prayed, you will need to pray. Why Should You Pray? *Pray because prayer brings God's intervention. Isaiah 38:5,6 *Pray because that's how you are authorized to communicate with God. 1 Thessalonians 15:16-18 *Pray because it is a major way of birthing God's will on earth. 1 Kings 18...

Out Of The Ashes

Isaiah 61:3 Ashes are not seen as useful substances. Ashes are waste that's thrown away. Ashes are what is left after a substance is burnt out. Your life may seem like ashes right now but something good and beautiful can come out of it when it's given to God. You may feel like an ash yourself. You may be feeling burnt out from unpleasant experiences of the past, the previous week, the last Month , or the the last year and life's battles may have left you burnt out. Know that out of your ashes can come beauty! God is the one who gives us beauty for ashes. God can make you and your life beautiful! Don't make the ashes your permanent state. God can make your season of ashes work out into a season of glory for you. Romans 8:28 The phoenix is a mystical and fictional bird that burns out after living for about six centuries. After burning itself out it rises from it's ashes renewed, youthful and revitalized to live through another life cycle. Like the p...

It is the will of God that your soul is preserved until the coming back of Jesus Christ. 1 Thessalonians 5:23 Your soul is made up of your will, your mind and your emotions. You need your will, your mind and your emotions to function properly and to be regarded as a well balanced human being. Your soul is valuable and the enemy wants it. Your soul is part of the reason you are saved and a part of God's kingdom. 2 Corinthians 4:3,4 We are spirits who have a soul and live in a body.
