Daniel 3:7-28
The story of the three Hebrew children from the text passage above is an interesting one which shows God's unique ability to deliver.
Parallels can also be seen between the happenings in this passage of the Bible and the end times we are in, this is not surprising as nothing is really new under the sun.
Ecclesiastes 1:9
God's wonderful acts, His power, and His deliverance will be experienced by the faithful in these fiery times.
The end times are dark times for the world but it's also a fiery time in the sense that the enemy is increasing his 'fire' in the earth. his fire of affliction. This is due to his time fast running out.
Babylon can represent our present, corrupt world.
Nebuchadenezzer the king can represent the enemy- Satan, the image he set up can represent deception; the deception that the enemy wants the world, and the church to bow to.
Shadrack, Meshack, and Abednego can represent the church, God's people.
The church of God should not bow to the threats and pressures of the enemy to yield to His deception.
2 Corinthians 4:8,9
Pressures will come, challenges will arise but we have overcome.
Romans 8:35-39
The 4th Man in our text passage represents divine presence, Jesus Christ, or one of the angels of God.
God is with His people, His church.
Hebrews 13:5
The furnace in the story can represent the enemy's onslaught in a fallen world.
In these latter times there will be supernatural deliverance of the type the Hebrew boys enjoyed because God is still the same.
Hebrews 13:8
The valiant men or soldiers who bound the Hebrew boys can represent the strong and the able in our world.
They died as they cast the Hebrew boys into the furnace though they didn't end up in the furnace themselves, the intensity of the heat was too much for them.
This informs us that we win in life not by human strength, credibility or might.
It's not by power or might, but by God's Spirit that we prevail in these end times.
Zechariah 4:6
Just as Nebuchadenezzar the king tried to destroy the Hebrew boys, Satan seeks to destroy the church, the people of God.
When the 4th man appeared, the 3 Hebrew boys were spared, delivered, and helped.
This happened because those boys stood their ground and put themselves on the line for God when it mattered.
Their bold stand for God triggered God's divine intervention.
They were not bothered whether they died in the process of taking God's side or not, what mattered was doing what's right in God's sight.
This calls for boldness.
We need to be bold for God.
May God's supernatural help, deliverance and presence be seen in our lives.
