Beauty For Ashes

Isaiah 61:1-7

Beauty for ashes starts with the anointing.
Beauty for ashes comes by the work of God's Spirit.
Beauty for ashes is God's will and wish for you.
Jesus came that men may have beauty for ashes.

Isaiah 61 is a prophetic picture of the Messiah's ministry.
It is full of promises of what can be ours as a result of what is the future coming of Jesus the Christ at the time it was written.
This passage of scripture starts by informing us the Spirit of God was upon Jesus Christ.

It was the anointing of the Holy Spirit upon Jesus that enabled Him to set the captives free, preach good news to the poor, bind up the broken-hearted, and release from darkness those who are in spiritual prisons.
Good news to the poor is that they don't have to be poor anymore because Jesus Christ came.
2 Corinthians 8:9
That is beauty for ashes!

Jesus was binding up the broken hearted. To be broken hearted is an emotional hurt.
Jesus has made provision for your emotional well being.
You can be whole emotionally!
This is beauty for ashes!

Jesus releases men who are in darkness from prison. This is refering to the spiritual prison of the enemy.
He does this by translating men out of darkness into God's kingdom.
Colossians 1:13
This is beauty for ashes!

With God's Spirit upon Him, Jesus could proclaim the year or season of God's favor and the day or times of vengenace of our God.
With God's Spirit upon Him, He could comfort all that mourn in Zion (God's assembly) and give them the crown of beauty instead of ashes.

Beauty for ashes is a privilege for God's people.
May God comfort you.
May God give you beauty for ashes.
May God give you beauty for ashes.

Beauty for ashes is for those who show up in Zion.
Isaiah 61:3
This is part of the reason you should go to church and also be a part of a local church.
Zion is the assembly of God's people.
Hebrews 12:22
Zion is the gathering of the saints.
Zion is where God's blessing is released upon people.
Zion is where God's people are strengthened.
Psalm 20:2

If you keep showing up in Zion with the right heart and attitude you will be blessed and become a wonder to your world.
If you keep going to Zion, you will be serviced, empowered, and strengthened.
In Zion, there's transformation.
In Zion, you can have beauty for ashes.

Beauty for ashes is:
1) God giving you better than what you've had.
Isaiah 60:17
2) God replacing your darkness with light.
John 1:5
3) God giving you a new beginning.
Isaiah 43:18,19
4) God turning your captivity around.
Psalm 126:1
5) God beautifying your life.
Isaiah 61:3
6) God giving you the grace to rise out of the ashes of your past.
Isaiah 43:18

Your Father Hears

Matthew 6:5,6 Prayer should be directed to the Father. Jesus showed this when He taught His disciples the Lord's prayer. It should be a great comfort to you to know that the creator and God of all hears you when you pray. This should encourage you to pray and keep praying. In our day to day relationships with people our communication will reduce towards those who don't pay attention when we're talking to them. The good thing about God is that He is never distracted. Know you have His attention when you pray . He can be communicated with. He hears, He created the ears. Psalm 94:9 Jesus encouraged prayer. Matthew 26:40 Jesus taught prayer. Luke 11:1,2 If Jesus prayed, you will need to pray. Why Should You Pray? *Pray because prayer brings God's intervention. Isaiah 38:5,6 *Pray because that's how you are authorized to communicate with God. 1 Thessalonians 15:16-18 *Pray because it is a major way of birthing God's will on earth. 1 Kings 18

Navigating A New Year

Isaiah  42:16 Our text passage above shows us God is the one who shows us the path to take and leads us in new directions. Your path matters to God. The way you you choose to take is important to God. Your steps are seen by God and ordered by God. Psalm 37:23 The year ahead of you matters to God too. Luke 13:8-9 Each year God has given you the grace to witness, experience, and journey through is another opportunity to be fruitful for God. God wants you to make the most of the year ahead of you to His glory. Human beings do not always know the way and path to go, we can be limited in wisdom. History shows we do not always make the best choices. The year ahead of us will require knowing the way to go, having the wisdom to make the best decisions and choices. Deuteronomy 30:19 To successfully navigate the year we need to stay in God.. To navigate is to find your way through, it is following the right path to a specific destination. The Importance Of The Anointing

Acts 10:38 The anointing is the presence of the Holy Spirit with a person. The anointing speaks, the anointing directs, and the anointing teaches people what they need to know and do. 1 John 2:27 You need the anointing. You can grow in the anointing. It is also possible to depart from the anointing. The anointing won't depart from you but you can depart from the anointing. You should remain in Him. It is worth it investing time to understand the your anointing, growing in your anointing and obeying the anointing. As you get to know a person better by spending time with them, so it is with the anointing in your life. With the anointing, you can't go wrong. The anointing strategically positions you in God's kingdom and in life. Jesus was full of the Holy Spirit. Colossians 2:9 Jesus had the anointing when He was here on earth. Jesus is our example of what our life can be when we have the anointing. Hebrews 12:2 Jesus knew His purpose. Luke 2:49 Jesus
