Text : Isaiah 59:1, 2
To tie the hands of God is to put God in a position where He won't help you.
God is all powerful and God can do anything.
God's hands can reach us in any situation and circumstance we find ourselves to deliver us.
Psalm 89:13
The good news to us is that God wants to touch you and help you with His hands. Psalm 16:11
The hands are symbolic of our work. Eg. when we say the hands of a person are blessed. We are saying his work, his job, whatever he does is good or successful.
The work of our hands refers to our productivity.
The hands of God are symbolic of the Holy Spirit, because the Holy Spirit is the Father touching us.
The Holy Spirit is a dimension and part of God that does the will and Word of the Father.
When the Holy Spirit is upon a person, God's hands are upon that person. 1 Kings 18:46
The Holy Spirit is the tangible agent through which God works.
The Holy Spirit is a Spirit with physical impact and force. Genesis 1:1
If the Holy Spirit operates as the hands of God, how do we tie God's hands?
1) THROUGH DOUBT- Matthew 13:58
2) BY DISOBEDIENCE TO GOD'S INSTRUCTION- Deuteronomy 28:14
How do we untie God's hands?
1) By repentance: 2 Chronicles 7:14
2) By obedience: Deuteronomy 28:1-13
3) By Prayer: Jeremiah 33:, Matthew 7:7,8
4) By Faith: 1 Peter 1:7
