 Isaiah 33:22 Our text passage reveals the Lord our God is our lawgiver. God is our Lawgiver, our Judge, our King. In previous teachings we've considered the roles of God as our King and as our Judge. In this teaching message we are looking into the position of God as our lawgiver. God is our lawgiver means it's God we take our laws from. God as our lawgiver means it's God who makes the laws we live by. Laws are the required expectations for people or rules they have to follow that's backed up by an authority. God as our lawgiver means His authority backs up the standard and rules He puts in place for us. The beauty of God being our lawgiver is that His laws are for our benefit, His laws give life!
