You've Got Something

Genesis  1:1-19

God spoke the world into existence out of nothing.

Nothing is something when God is in it.

It would seem God made creation out of nothing.

At some point God had nothing valuable to work with except darkness and disorder to achieve His intended outcome.

Genesis 1:2

God called forth creation out of Himself.

God achieved what He had hoped to achieve.

Genesis 1:31

God achieved His aim

God achieved His purposes.

God is an achiever.

Humanity was originally created in God's image and likeness through Adam, which Adam lost and Jesus restored.

You are created to achieve your intended target- your dreams, hope, vision, imagination.

You are created to achieve your aim.

You are created to achieve your purposes.

You are an achiever.

Genesis 1:26-28

It may seem like you have nothing today but that is a good place to start from.

It may seem like your life is full of disorder today but disorder can be converted to order with God.

If you have God you have it all.

Make sure God is a present reality in your life, make sure you have God on your side.

If you have God you have something and you have someone.

If you've got God:

You have the Holy Spirit.

John 14:26

You have salvation

Romans 10:9,10

You have the promises of God

2 Peter 1:4

You have the mind of Christ

1 Corinthians 2:16

You have a new identity

1 Corinthians 1:30

You are a joint heir with Christ

Romans 8:17

You are well positioned

Ephesians 2:6

You are entitled to angelic help.

Hebrews 1:14

With what you've got in God you can build your life.

Build on Christ, the Rock!

Matthew 7:24-29

Our lives can be likened to a building, our choices and decisions are the building blocks.

The wise build on a sure foundation, on the Rock. Jesus is the rock and sure foundation.

God's will for you is an orderly and peaceful life.

God is not a God of confusion but of peace.

1 Corinthians 14:33

God wants us to live orderly lives.

1 Corinthians 14:40

God wants us to live progressive lives.

Proverbs 4:18

In Christ Jesus we have a lot to build with, we have something to work with, and our life should be meaningful- full of goals, targets, and purposes that glorify God.

Build progressively, build step by step, choice by choice, decision by decision, prayer by prayer, word by word, one instruction after another, with wisdom.

Navigating A New Year

Isaiah  42:16 Our text passage above shows us God is the one who shows us the path to take and leads us in new directions. Your path matters to God. The way you you choose to take is important to God. Your steps are seen by God and ordered by God. Psalm 37:23 The year ahead of you matters to God too. Luke 13:8-9 Each year God has given you the grace to witness, experience, and journey through is another opportunity to be fruitful for God. God wants you to make the most of the year ahead of you to His glory. Human beings do not always know the way and path to go, we can be limited in wisdom. History shows we do not always make the best choices. The year ahead of us will require knowing the way to go, having the wisdom to make the best decisions and choices. Deuteronomy 30:19 To successfully navigate the year we need to stay in God.. To navigate is to find your way through, it is following the right path to a specific destination. Your Father Hears

Matthew 6:5,6 Prayer should be directed to the Father. Jesus showed this when He taught His disciples the Lord's prayer. It should be a great comfort to you to know that the creator and God of all hears you when you pray. This should encourage you to pray and keep praying. In our day to day relationships with people our communication will reduce towards those who don't pay attention when we're talking to them. The good thing about God is that He is never distracted. Know you have His attention when you pray . He can be communicated with. He hears, He created the ears. Psalm 94:9 Jesus encouraged prayer. Matthew 26:40 Jesus taught prayer. Luke 11:1,2 If Jesus prayed, you will need to pray. Why Should You Pray? *Pray because prayer brings God's intervention. Isaiah 38:5,6 *Pray because that's how you are authorized to communicate with God. 1 Thessalonians 15:16-18 *Pray because it is a major way of birthing God's will on earth. 1 Kings 18

The Importance Of The Anointing

Acts 10:38 The anointing is the presence of the Holy Spirit with a person. The anointing speaks, the anointing directs, and the anointing teaches people what they need to know and do. 1 John 2:27 You need the anointing. You can grow in the anointing. It is also possible to depart from the anointing. The anointing won't depart from you but you can depart from the anointing. You should remain in Him. It is worth it investing time to understand the your anointing, growing in your anointing and obeying the anointing. As you get to know a person better by spending time with them, so it is with the anointing in your life. With the anointing, you can't go wrong. The anointing strategically positions you in God's kingdom and in life. Jesus was full of the Holy Spirit. Colossians 2:9 Jesus had the anointing when He was here on earth. Jesus is our example of what our life can be when we have the anointing. Hebrews 12:2 Jesus knew His purpose. Luke 2:49 Jesus
