Romans 9:15
You get what you expect.
What we expect in our lives matters.
Jesus left an instruction for His followers to tarry in Jerusalem until they are endued with power from on high.
Luke 24:49
It's only 120 people who expected the enduement with power Jesus spoke about that remained in the upper room.
God honored their waiting, God honored their expectation.
According to Biblical scholars there were 500 people waiting in the upper room in Jerusalem, with the passage of time they reduced from 500 to 120.
This means 380 people missed out on the day of Pentecost.
They missed out on the promise of Jesus, they missed out on the fulfillment of prophecy, they missed out on being part of history, they missed out on being part of what is believed to be the birth of the church, they missed out on the supernatural.
The 120 who tarried until the promise of Jesus was fulfilled are those who kept their expectation alive.
They endured and waited until their expectation of Jesus's promise was fulfilled.
Be like the 120 not the 380.
What has God told you, are you still expecting it?
Many people lose hope, they stop expecting because things didn't happen within their time frame.
Keep your expectation alive.
Romans 8:19
The 120 who remained until the "sudden" manifestation of God's Spirit encountered the mercy of God, the power of God, the hand of God, the glory of God.
Acts 2:1-4
What are you expecting?
Are you expecting things to go wrong or are you expecting things to go right?
Are you expecting to sink in life or do you expect the boat of your life to sail to it's destination successfully?
Are you expecting to fail or do you expect that you will succeed?
Are you expecting God's mercy for your matter or do you expect God to forsake you?
Are you expecting the suddenly of God in your life's issues?
Do you expect your life's story to change for the better suddenly?
Our expectations can work like magnets.
Your expectation is part of your faith
Expect the supernatural.
Expect the blessing of God.
Expect the glory of God.
Expect the salvation of your family and loved ones.
Expect the intervention of God.
Expect a divine turnaround.
Expect the fulfillment of God's prophecy to you.
Expect mercy.
Philippians 1:20
